Verify your Copper export before you send

Export your people from Copper as a CSV, upload it to SimpleVerifier as it is, and every address gets a live mailbox check. You download valid, risky and invalid files with your original Copper columns kept, ready to import back.

1. Export the CSV from Copper

  1. In Copper, go to the People list view, and filter it if you only want part of the list.
  2. Tick the box in the upper left to select records, or select only the ones you need.
  3. Open the three-dot menu and click Export List.
  4. Choose the selected records, all records, or all records matching the current filter, then click Export.
  5. Open the file from the email Copper sends.

For a full export, go to Workspace Settings > Export Data and click Export People instead. Both exports arrive as an Excel (.xlsx) file, so save it as CSV before uploading. Users other than admins need the Data Export permission.

2. Upload it to SimpleVerifier

Sign in, upload the CSV as it came out of Copper and every address gets a live mailbox check with catch-all detection. The email column is found automatically.

3. Import the clean file back

You get three files: valid, risky and invalid, each with every column from the original export. Import the valid file back into Copper or your sending tool, and keep risky addresses (usually catch-all domains) out of cold sends.

Common questions

How do I export my people from Copper?
In Copper, go to the People list view, and filter it if you only want part of the list. Tick the box in the upper left to select records, or select only the ones you need. Open the three-dot menu and click Export List. Choose the selected records, all records, or all records matching the current filter, then click Export. Open the file from the email Copper sends. For a full export, go to Workspace Settings > Export Data and click Export People instead. Both exports arrive as an Excel (.xlsx) file, so save it as CSV before uploading. Users other than admins need the Data Export permission.
Do I need to change the Copper CSV before uploading it?
No. The email column is found by its header or its contents, so the Copper export works as it is. Every other column is kept, and the cleaned files come back with your original columns so you can import them straight back into Copper.
Why verify a list that came from Copper?
Subscribers who signed up years ago move jobs, abandon inboxes or typed their address wrong. Every send to a dead address in Copper is a bounce on your sender reputation, and many ESPs bill by contact count, so removing dead addresses also lowers the bill.
How much does it cost?
Verification is $29.99 a month with no limit on verifications, for files up to 100,000 rows. See the pricing page for the plans.
