  • On these published prices Truelist costs less than SimpleVerifier at 1,000 and 10,000 emails a month, and the table says so.
  • SimpleVerifier’s metered plan (Starter at $9 a month for 2,500 emails a month) resets every billing month, with no rollover, and cover email verification only, without the API, finder or phone lookups. Pro includes them.
  • Pro is never cut off: the first 100,000 emails a month run at full speed, then lists of 2,000 rows or more run in a slower shared lane. Large lists queue rather than fail, with an ETA on the job card.
  • “Not published” means Truelist’s page did not price that volume; we do not extrapolate. Run your own numbers in the cost calculator.

Does Truelist charge for unknown or catch-all results?

Read on Truelist’s own pages on 2 Nov 2026.

What Truelist and SimpleVerifier charge for
ResultTruelistSimpleVerifier
UnknownIts page says standard validation "costs 1 credit per email with a definitive verdict", and that an unknown result is what triggers the enhanced check; it does not say more about billing for unknowns. Not charged on Starter: addresses we can't check don't count. Pro, Business and Agency have no per-email charge at all.
Catch-allResolved where it can: enhanced validation runs only where the standard check returns unknown and costs 3 credits per resolved address. SimpleVerifier grades catch-all rows by likelihood and does not resolve them.Counted as one check on Starter, because every catch-all row is graded higher, medium or lower likelihood. No per-email charge on Pro and up. A catch-all row is never marked valid.
DuplicatesNot stated on the pricing page. Not charged: each unique address in a file counts once.

Not verified: Credit prices above 1,000,000, which the page sends to sales. Enterprise, from $2,000 a month on contract terms.

Free allowance and credit expiry

Truelist

Free allowance
100 free validations on its Free plan, with no card (read 2 Nov 2026)
Credit expiry
Truelist says its credits never expire, for bulk lists and the API alike (read 2 Nov 2026).

SimpleVerifier

Free allowance
The first 100 email checks free after Google sign-in, once per account, no card.
Credit expiry
Pro has no allowance to expire. Starter allowances reset each billing month; unused emails don’t roll over. Confirmed results are cached for 14 days, so re-checking them inside that window uses nothing.

How Truelist meters usage

In Truelist’s own framing: credits from $1.40 per 1,000 falling to $0.70 per 1,000 up to 1m, never expire; unlimited from $799 a month on a 12-month commitment. What to watch: every pass is a fresh credit purchase, and the flat-rate Unlimited plan starts at $799 a month only on a 12-month commitment billed upfront ($999 a month on 3 months).

What it does well: Truelist is worth keeping if your list is heavy on catch-all B2B domains and you want them resolved: its enhanced validation runs only where the standard check returns unknown, at 3 credits per resolved address. SimpleVerifier grades catch-all rows by likelihood but does not resolve them to valid.

For small volumes Truelist can cost less than Pro: up to 25,000 addresses can be bought from Truelist for under $39. If that covers your list and you verify it once, Truelist may be the better buy.

When to pick Truelist instead

  • Pick Truelist if you clean a list of up to about 30,000 once: 10,000 credits are $14 and 25,000 are $27.50 at its published rates, under a month of Pro at $39. From 50,000 ($55) a month of Pro costs less.
  • Pick Truelist if your B2B lists are mostly catch-all domains and you want those addresses resolved rather than graded.
  • Pick Truelist if you verify millions of addresses every month and can commit to 3 to 12 months of its Unlimited plan.
  • Pick Truelist on price at 1,000 and 10,000 emails a month, where its published route costs less than ours.

How to work out what Truelist will cost you

  1. 1

Count how many addresses you verify in a typical month, including re-checks of lists you already cleaned.

  2. 2

Find the smallest Truelist tier whose allowance covers that number in the plans table, and compare it with buying a pay-as-you-go pack of that size, if Truelist sells one.

  3. 3

Check whether unused Truelist credits expire before you would use them, and whether the plan meters finding and verifying from the same pool.

  4. 4

Compare the result with SimpleVerifier: Starter at $9 a month for 2,500 emails a month, or Pro at $39 a month, never cut off: the first 100,000 emails a month run at full speed, then big lists run slower.

Before you buy Truelist credits, test an address here

Type any address. It gets the same check the paid plans run: syntax, the domain’s mail servers and, where the provider allows it, a live mailbox check. Nothing is sent to the address.

Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.
