Switch from Clearout to SimpleVerifier
Export your finished list from Clearout as a CSV, sort its statuses with the free results cleaner, and re-check the addresses you care about on SimpleVerifier. The first 100 checks are free with no card; plans then start at $9 a month, monthly only. Clearout costs $23 a month for 3,000 credits, or pay as you go from $8.00 per 1,000 on a 5,000 pack, falling to $1.00 at 10,000,000. Credits and balances at Clearout do not transfer.
Who this is for
People who are re-evaluating Clearout for one of the reasons below. If none of them applies, there is no reason to move.
- Billing period. Clearout's monthly-billed plans cost noticeably more per month than the same volume billed yearly, so the low headline price needs a year's commitment. The pricing table on this page shows both.
- Catch-alls are billed and never settled by the server. Clearout's FAQ counts every valid, invalid or catch-all address as billable; resolving catch-alls further is its separate Deep Verify feature.
- Every pass over a list is billed again, so re-checking the same list each month costs the same as the first clean.
Step 1: export your results from Clearout
- Open the finished list in Clearout and click Download, then choose the type of result.
- Choose Custom: Clearout's docs say it returns your original list plus the result columns you select, and lets you include or exclude duplicates. Include them so the row count matches your source file.
- Avoid the Guaranteed Deliverables and Deliverables With Risk presets for a migration: they leave rows out. "Email addresses with Clearout standard columns" keeps every status but drops your original columns.
Clearout's docs say a result expires 30 days after the verification and then shows as "Result expired". Download every list you want to keep before you stop using the account.

Step 2: sort the statuses you already paid for
Drop the file into the verification results cleaner. It maps each status to send, retest or remove, keeps your other columns and gives you a CSV for each. It runs in the browser and needs no account. Nothing you already paid for is re-verified unless you choose to.
Step 3: re-check the rest on SimpleVerifier
The unconfirmed rows (catch-all, risky, unknown) are the ones worth a second opinion. Upload them at /verify; the first 100 are free. Confirmed mailboxes come back valid, anything we cannot confirm comes back risky, never valid.
Cost comparison

Common questions
- How do I move my Clearout results to SimpleVerifier?
- Export the finished list from Clearout as a CSV with its result column, drop it into the free verification results cleaner to sort every status into send, retest or remove, then upload the addresses you want re-checked to SimpleVerifier. Statuses the cleaner does not recognise are listed, never guessed.
- Do I lose anything by leaving Clearout?
- Possibly. Its yearly price is close to ours: the 10,000-a-month Pro plan is $384 a year ($32 a month), against our $299.90 a year. Its integrations page lists a long catalogue of apps, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Gravity Forms and Make. Pick Clearout if you verify under about 10,000 addresses a month, pay yearly, and want its form guard or many native integrations.
- Will my unused Clearout credits transfer?
- No. Credits and balances stay with Clearout; SimpleVerifier cannot import them. Check Clearout's own pricing page and terms for what happens to an unused balance.
- Is SimpleVerifier more accurate than Clearout?
- We have not benchmarked the two, so this page makes no accuracy claim. Anything SimpleVerifier cannot confirm is returned as risky, never valid. Re-check a sample, including addresses you know are dead, and compare.
- Can I try it before I pay?
- Yes. Sign in with Google and the first 100 email checks are free, with no card. Plans then start at $9 a month, monthly only, cancel anytime.
