Email verifier Chrome extension
The free SimpleVerifier extension finds the email addresses and phone numbers on the page you're viewing, checks them in your browser for typos, disposable and role addresses and phone formats, and shows who hosts the site's email. Sign in with Google for 50 live mailbox checks a month, with a valid, risky or invalid verdict and a reason for each.
- jane@northwind.examplevalidMailbox exists
- sales@northwind.exampleriskyRole-based address
- j.doe@northwnd.exampleinvalidNo mail server
- press@northwind.examplepending
How it works
Four steps, all from the toolbar. Everything up to the live mailbox check works without an account.
Open it on any site
The popup shows who hosts that site's email (from its MX record) and whether it publishes SPF and DMARC. No account needed.
Find emails and phone numbers
Click Find on this page. Every address gets free in-browser checks for syntax, typos, disposable and role addresses; every number gets a format check.
Sign in for live checks
Sign in with Google on simpleverifier.com and the extension gets 50 live mailbox checks a month, free. Pro has no monthly cap.
Copy, export or send to a report
Copy the list, download a CSV, or take it to a full list report on the site.
What it does
Find on this page
Reads the page you're viewing only when you click, and lists every address, mailto: and tel: link on it.
Free in-browser checks
Syntax, typo suggestions, disposable domains and role addresses, from the same lists the website uses. Nothing leaves your browser.
Site email setup
Who receives the site's mail (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, a security gateway and more) and whether SPF and DMARC are in place, from public DNS.
50 live checks a month
With Google sign-in, a live mailbox check asks the mail server whether the address exists and returns valid, risky or invalid with a reason.
Phone format check
Country, line type and E.164 form from the numbering plan, in your browser. It doesn't tell you if a number is in service.
Copy and CSV
Take the list with you: copy it, or export each address with its checks as a CSV.
Privacy
The extension reads a page only when you click, runs the free checks in your browser, and sends only the addresses you choose to live-check to simpleverifier.com. Site mail records are looked up through Cloudflare's public DNS, and anonymous usage counts go to PostHog unless you switch them off. The extension privacy policy lists every permission and what it's for.
Other ways to verify
Stopping bad addresses at sign-up? The sign-up form widget catches typos and throwaway addresses in the browser. To verify from your own code, create an API key (paid plans) and see the API docs, or browse every integration.
Common questions
- Is the SimpleVerifier Chrome extension free?
- Yes. Finding emails and phone numbers, the in-browser checks, phone formats and the site email panel are free with no account. Sign in with Google and you also get 50 live mailbox checks a month. Pro ($29.99/month) removes the monthly cap.
- Do the extension's live checks use my 100 free website checks?
- No. The 50 monthly live checks in the extension are a separate allowance. The 100 free email checks you get on the website when you sign in with Google, no card, stay untouched.
- Does the extension read every page I visit?
- No. It sees the tab you're on only while its popup is open. It reads a page's text and links only when you click Find on this page, once, and nothing runs in the background.
- Can it tell me if a phone number works?
- No. For phone numbers it runs a format check: whether the number fits its country's numbering plan, its E.164 form and the type the plan assigns. No lookup can confirm someone is using a number today.
- What happens when a page has more emails than I have checks left?
- Verify all checks as many as your remaining free checks cover and tells you how many are left. You can upgrade to Pro, wait for next month's allowance, or send the list to a full list report on the site.
- Does it collect analytics?
- Anonymous usage counts only, such as how many emails a scan found or that a live check finished, under a random install id. Never addresses, numbers or page addresses. You can switch it off in the popup.
