Verify your Microsoft Excel export before you send
Export your worksheet from Microsoft Excel as a CSV, upload it to SimpleVerifier as it is, and every address gets a live mailbox check. You download valid, risky and invalid files with your original Microsoft Excel columns kept, ready to import back.
1. Export the CSV from Microsoft Excel
- Open the workbook on the sheet that holds the email addresses.
- Click File > Save As > Browse.
- Pick the comma-delimited CSV file type, choose a location and save.
- Accept the prompt that only the current worksheet is saved.
Microsoft's help says only the active worksheet is saved, so repeat for other sheets. If accented names look wrong when you reopen the file, Microsoft documents opening UTF-8 CSV files through Data > Get Data > From Text/CSV.

2. Upload it to SimpleVerifier
Sign in, upload the CSV as it came out of Microsoft Excel and every address gets a live mailbox check with catch-all detection. The email column is found automatically.
Verify your Microsoft Excel export3. Import the clean file back
You get three files: valid, risky and invalid, each with every column from the original export. Import the valid file back into Microsoft Excel or your sending tool, and keep risky addresses (usually catch-all domains) out of cold sends.

Common questions
- How do I export my worksheet from Microsoft Excel?
- Open the workbook on the sheet that holds the email addresses. Click File > Save As > Browse. Pick the comma-delimited CSV file type, choose a location and save. Accept the prompt that only the current worksheet is saved. Microsoft's help says only the active worksheet is saved, so repeat for other sheets. If accented names look wrong when you reopen the file, Microsoft documents opening UTF-8 CSV files through Data > Get Data > From Text/CSV.
- Do I need to change the Microsoft Excel CSV before uploading it?
- No. The email column is found by its header or its contents, so the Microsoft Excel export works as it is. Every other column is kept, and the cleaned files come back with your original columns so you can import them straight back into Microsoft Excel.
- Why verify a list that came from Microsoft Excel?
- Subscribers who signed up years ago move jobs, abandon inboxes or typed their address wrong. Every send to a dead address in Excel is a bounce on your sender reputation, and many ESPs bill by contact count, so removing dead addresses also lowers the bill.
- How much does it cost?
- Verification is $29.99 a month with no limit on verifications, for files up to 100,000 rows. See the pricing page for the plans.
