Verify your Close export before you send

Export your contacts from Close as a CSV, upload it to SimpleVerifier as it is, and every address gets a live mailbox check. You download valid, risky and invalid files with your original Close columns kept, ready to import back.

1. Export the CSV from Close

  1. In Close, open Leads from the left-hand navigation, and apply filters if you only want part of the list.
  2. Open the ... menu at the top right of the leads list and select Export.
  3. Set Type to Contacts and choose CSV.
  4. Choose Fields in current view, Common fields or All fields, then start the export.
  5. Download the file from the link Close emails you.

Contacts are exported from the Leads page, not the Contacts page. The emailed link expires after 7 days.

2. Upload it to SimpleVerifier

Sign in, upload the CSV as it came out of Close and every address gets a live mailbox check with catch-all detection. The email column is found automatically.

3. Import the clean file back

You get three files: valid, risky and invalid, each with every column from the original export. Import the valid file back into Close or your sending tool, and keep risky addresses (usually catch-all domains) out of cold sends.

Common questions

How do I export my contacts from Close?
In Close, open Leads from the left-hand navigation, and apply filters if you only want part of the list. Open the ... menu at the top right of the leads list and select Export. Set Type to Contacts and choose CSV. Choose Fields in current view, Common fields or All fields, then start the export. Download the file from the link Close emails you. Contacts are exported from the Leads page, not the Contacts page. The emailed link expires after 7 days.
Do I need to change the Close CSV before uploading it?
No. The email column is found by its header or its contents, so the Close export works as it is. Every other column is kept, and the cleaned files come back with your original columns so you can import them straight back into Close.
Why verify a list that came from Close?
Subscribers who signed up years ago move jobs, abandon inboxes or typed their address wrong. Every send to a dead address in Close is a bounce on your sender reputation, and many ESPs bill by contact count, so removing dead addresses also lowers the bill.
How much does it cost?
Verification is $29.99 a month with no limit on verifications, for files up to 100,000 rows. See the pricing page for the plans.
