Patreon members to email list: active, declined, free and former members sorted
In short: Reads Patreon's member CSV (Patron Status, Free Member, Tier, Pledge Amount, Lifetime Amount, Last Charge Status), a Ko-fi supporters download or a Buy Me a Coffee export. Each member is sorted into active paid, declined, free or former; former members are set aside, and tier and lifetime amounts are kept for segmenting. Limit: Former members are only told apart when the export has a status column.
To get member emails from Patreon, open Audience (the Relationship manager), choose Export CSV and upload the file here. Each member is sorted by Patron Status into active, declined (failed payment), free or former. Former patrons are set aside by default, and the tier, pledge and lifetime amount stay on each row so you can mail each tier separately.
Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

How do I turn a Patreon export into an email list?
- In Patreon, open Audience (Relationship manager) and choose Export CSV. Ko-fi and Buy Me a Coffee have a supporters or members download in their dashboards.
- Upload the CSV or Excel file here, or paste it.
- Choose: set aside former members, set aside members with a declined payment, keep only paying members.
- Download the member list and the set-aside file with the reason per member.
Example
- You enter
- A Patreon members CSV with 6 rows: 3
Active patron, 1Declined patron, 1Former patronand 1 free member, across 2 tiers. - You get
- 5 members in the list with tier, pledge and lifetime amount; the declined member marked
declined; the former patron set aside asFormer member. - Limits
- Runs in your browser with no row cap; an uploaded file can be up to 25 MB.
How do I export my members from Patreon?
Creators can download every member from the Relationship manager as CSV. The file has Name, Email, Patron Status, Tier, Pledge Amount, Lifetime Amount, Patronage Since Date and Last Charge Status, among others. Patron Status reads Active patron, Declined patron or Former patron; free members are marked in their own column.
The tool sorts every row by that status and keeps tier and amounts, so a move to your own newsletter or a launch email can go to active members first and to former patrons only if you choose.
What does a declined patron mean?
A declined patron's last charge failed, usually an expired card. They're still members on Patreon while it retries. They're kept by default and marked declined, because a short note asking them to update their card is often worth sending. Tick the option to set them aside instead.
Can I email Patreon members outside Patreon?
Patreon sends your posts to members itself. Mailing them from another tool needs their agreement to that kind of email, which depends on what you told them when they joined and where they are. The FTC's CAN-SPAM guide covers the US and the ICO's guidance the UK.
Is this faster than cleaning the Patreon export in Excel?
| This tool | Excel or Sheets | |
|---|---|---|
| Former patrons | Set aside with a reason | Filter Patron Status |
| Declined payments | Marked, optional set aside | Filter two columns |
| Free members | Marked, optional set aside | Filter Free Member |
| Tier and lifetime amount | Kept per member | Kept |

A tidy list can still be full of dead addresses.
Extracting, deduplicating and syntax checks all work on the text of an address. None of them can tell whether the mailbox exists. Only the server that hosts it can answer that, through an SMTP check, and that is what the paid product does.
- Upload the cleaned file as it is: CSVs up to 100,000 rows
- A real SMTP mailbox check on every row, with catch-all detection
