Gumroad customers to email list: one row per buyer, refunds and chargebacks split out
In short: Reads a Gumroad sales CSV (Purchase Email, Item Name, Sale Price, Refunded?, Disputed?, Giftee Email), a Lemon Squeezy orders export, Paddle transactions or a Payhip sales file. Sales fold into one row per buyer with purchases, products and spend; refunded, disputed or failed sales add nothing to spend, and buyers with only those are set aside. Limit: Spend is the sum of the sale price column; fees and taxes depend on which column your export uses.
To get a buyer list from Gumroad, download the sales CSV (or the customers export) and upload it here. Each sale is folded into one row per buyer with purchases, products, total spent and the latest date. Refunded, disputed and failed sales are counted but not added to spend, and buyers whose every sale was refunded go to a separate file.
Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

How do I turn a Gumroad sales export into a buyer list?
- Download your sales: Gumroad (Sales, or Audience > Customers, then the export button), Lemon Squeezy (Orders > Export), Paddle (transactions or customers export) or Payhip (sales export).
- Upload the CSV or Excel file here, or paste it.
- Choose: set aside buyers whose every purchase was refunded or disputed, include gift recipients, keep only buyers who opted in to marketing.
- Download the buyer list and the set-aside file with the reason per buyer.
Example
- You enter
- A Gumroad sales CSV with 6 sales:
ana.silva@example.comtwice in different case, one refunded sale, one disputed sale and one gift with aGiftee Email. - You get
- 3 buyers in the list, Ana as one row with 2 purchases, both products and 44.00 spent; the refunded and disputed buyers set aside; the gift recipient left out until you tick the option.
- Limits
- Runs in your browser with no row cap; an uploaded file can be up to 25 MB.
How do I export customers from Gumroad?
Gumroad's sales download has one row per purchase with Purchase Email, Item Name, Sale Price ($), Purchase Date, Refunded?, Disputed? and, for gifts, Giftee Email. A buyer who bought three products appears three times.
The tool folds those rows into one per buyer, lists every product they bought and adds up what they spent on sales that weren't refunded, so you can write to repeat buyers about the next launch and leave refunded buyers out.
What about Lemon Squeezy and Paddle?
Both work. Lemon Squeezy orders and Paddle transactions have a customer email, a status and a total; statuses such as refunded, failed, past_due or canceled are counted as not paid. A marketing consent column, when your export has one, is read so you can keep only buyers who opted in.
Can I email Gumroad buyers about a new product?
A purchase covers receipts and updates about what they bought. Promotions for other products depend on what your checkout asked and where buyers are. The FTC's CAN-SPAM guide covers the US and the ICO's guidance the UK.
Is this faster than cleaning the sales export in Excel?
| This tool | Excel or Sheets | |
|---|---|---|
| One row per buyer | Purchases and spend added | Pivot table |
| Refunds and chargebacks | Not in spend, set aside | Filter two columns |
| Products bought | Listed per buyer | TEXTJOIN formulas |
| Gift recipients | Optional rows | Copy the column, then stack |

What can’t this tool tell you?
- Spend is the sum of the sale price column; fees and taxes depend on which column your export uses.
- Partial refunds are not subtracted.
- It can't tell which addresses still have a working inbox.
- A purchase isn't consent to marketing for other products.
Common questions
- Can I download my Gumroad customer emails?
- Yes. Gumroad lets creators export sales and customers as CSV. Upload either here to get one row per buyer.
- Are refunded buyers removed?
- Buyers whose every purchase was refunded, disputed or failed go to the set-aside file. A buyer with one refund and another paid purchase stays, with the refund counted.
- What are gift recipients?
- When someone buys a product as a gift, Gumroad records the recipient in Giftee Email. They're left out unless you tick the option, because they never bought anything themselves.
- Does it work with Lemon Squeezy, Paddle and Payhip?
- Yes. Any sales or customer export with a buyer email column works; status, refund and consent columns are read when they're there.
- Is my sales data uploaded?
- No. It is read in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to check the addresses afterwards.

A tidy list can still be full of dead addresses.
Extracting, deduplicating and syntax checks all work on the text of an address. None of them can tell whether the mailbox exists. Only the server that hosts it can answer that, through an SMTP check, and that is what the paid product does.
- Upload the cleaned file as it is: CSVs up to 100,000 rows
- A real SMTP mailbox check on every row, with catch-all detection
- Small list? Starter at $9/mo covers 2,500 emails a month, cancel anytime
One plan, cancel anytime, no contract. Sign in with Google and your first 100 email checks are free, no card. The free tools stay free either way.
