Pipedrive contacts to email list: work, home and other emails, unsubscribes set aside
In short: Reads a Pipedrive People CSV or .xlsx: Email - Work first, Email - Home and Email - Other optional, Marketing status Unsubscribed set aside (Subscribed and No consent never read as consent), Person - prefixes stripped, repeats merged. Limit: Pipedrive doesn't publish its export headings, and the file has only the columns shown in the list; Email - Work and Marketing status are found by name from an inferred list, so check the notes above the result.
Export People from Pipedrive with the Email and Marketing status columns shown, and upload the file here. Contacts whose marketing status is Unsubscribed are always set aside; Subscribed or blank is not read as consent. Work email is read first, and you can add home and other emails as rows. Check what's left live before you send.
Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

How do I check the send list before the next campaign?
- Download the send list here.
- Upload it at /verify. Every address gets a live mailbox check, and valid, risky and invalid download as separate files; catch-all domains are marked. The first 100 email checks are free with a Google sign-in, no card.
- Send to the valid file, and keep the set-aside file as a suppression list.
How do I turn a Pipedrive export into a clean email list?
- In Pipedrive, open Contacts > People, pick a filter, and use the column settings to show Email and Marketing status.
- Click the three dots at the top right and choose Export filter results, CSV or Excel. Admins can also use Tools and apps > Export data.
- Upload the file here, or paste it. Tick the option to read Email - Home and Email - Other too.
- Download the send list and the set-aside file. Check the send list live before the campaign.
Example
- You enter
- A Pipedrive People export with 6 rows and "Person - " headings:
Marketing statusSubscribed, Unsubscribed, No consent and blank, a home email on Ana, agmial.comtypo, aninfo@address and one phone-only person. - You get
- 4 contacts to send (the typo flagged, No consent left as unknown), Leo set aside as unsubscribed, and 1 person counted as having no email. Ticking the other-emails option adds Ana's Gmail as a row.
- Limits
- Runs in your browser with no row cap; an uploaded file can be up to 25 MB.
Why isn't Subscribed read as consent?
Marketing status in Pipedrive is set by Campaigns by Pipedrive and by imports, and it can be set by hand. The tool only reads it one way: Unsubscribed is an opt-out. Subscribed, No consent, Archived or blank are left as unknown, so whether you may email someone is still your call under your own consent records.
Pipedrive ties unsubscribes to the address, not the person, so the same address on two people is set aside on both.
What about the several email fields?
A Pipedrive person can have work, home and other emails. Work is the send address by default; the others are only read when you tick the option, and each becomes its own row with its source column.
Who uses this tool, and for what?
- Sales teams
- Pull a send list for a newsletter or sequence outside Pipedrive, unsubscribes honoured.
- Agencies
- Clean a client's People list before moving it to a sending tool.
- Founders
- Combine work and personal emails into one de-duplicated list.
What can’t this tool tell you?
- Pipedrive doesn't publish its export headings, and the file has only the columns shown in the list; Email - Work and Marketing status are found by name from an inferred list, so check the notes above the result.
- Pipedrive doesn't say whether Marketing status appears in every export; if it's missing, nobody can be set aside for unsubscribing.
- It can't tell which addresses have a working inbox today; that needs a live mailbox check.
Common questions
- Which Pipedrive columns does it read?
- Email or Email - Work, Email - Home and Email - Other if you tick the option, Marketing status, Organization and Labels. Headings starting with "Person - " are read without the prefix. The notes above the result say which were found.
- Can I export as Excel?
- Yes. The tool reads .xlsx as well as CSV.
- Is my contact list uploaded?
- No. The file is read in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to check the addresses afterwards.
Sources
A tidy list can still be full of dead addresses.
Extracting, deduplicating and syntax checks all work on the text of an address. None of them can tell whether the mailbox exists. Only the server that hosts it can answer that, through an SMTP check, and that is what the paid product does.
- Upload the cleaned file as it is: CSVs up to 100,000 rows
- A real SMTP mailbox check on every row, with catch-all detection
