What verification does to this list
- Addresses typed wrong at checkout come back invalid when the misspelled domain has no mail server or the mailbox does not exist.
- Old customers whose mailbox has since closed come back invalid, so you can leave them out of the campaign.
- Catch-all domains come back risky, never valid.
- Verification tells you whether a mailbox can receive mail. It does not tell you whether the person agreed to hear from you, so check consent before you mail anyone, whatever the result.
Shopify: Shopify publishes no bounce percentage. Its help says sustained spam complaints or high bounce rates can lead Shopify to limit or pause access to the Messaging app, and that bounced subscribers are removed from future campaigns automatically.

- The recipient's mail server confirmed the mailbox exists.

- The domain works but the mailbox could not be confirmed, usually a catch-all domain that accepts every address. Anything unconfirmed is reported as risky, never as valid.
- Invalid
- The server confirmed the mailbox does not exist, or the syntax is broken, the domain has no mail server, or the domain is a known disposable provider.
Results download as separate files for valid, risky and invalid. The email column is found by its header or its contents, every other column in your file is kept, and the cleaned files come back with your original columns, so they import straight back into your sending tool.
