Pardot prospects to email list: opted out and Do Not Email set aside
In short: Reads an Account Engagement (Pardot) prospects export, sets aside prospects marked Opted Out or Do Not Email (and Undeliverable where a mailability column is included), merges repeated addresses and keeps name, company and phone. Limit: Column labels vary by account and export; they're found by name and the notes say which were read.
Export your prospects from Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) with the Opted Out and Do Not Email columns, and upload the CSV here. Prospects marked true in either are set aside, undeliverable ones too when a mailability column is in the file, repeated addresses merge, and you download an email list to verify before the next send or a migration.
Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

How do I check a Pardot list before the next send?
- Download the email list here.
- Upload it at /verify. Every address gets a live mailbox check, and valid, risky and invalid download as separate files. The first 100 email checks are free with a Google sign-in, no card.
- Mark the invalid addresses Do Not Email in Account Engagement or Salesforce, or leave them out of the next import.
How do I turn a Pardot export into a clean email list?
- In Account Engagement, open the prospect list or a list you want to clean and select the prospects.
- Export them to CSV, with the Opted Out and Do Not Email columns included (and mailability if your export offers it).
- Upload or paste the file here and press Build email list. Untick the option if you want opted-out prospects kept.
- Download the email list and the set-aside file; keep the set-aside file as a suppression list.
Example
- You enter
- An Account Engagement (Pardot) export of 6 prospect rows with Opted Out and Do Not Email columns: one Opted Out, one Do Not Email, and
[email protected]listed twice. - You get
- 3 addresses kept ([email protected], [email protected], [email protected]) after the repeat merges; 2 set aside as unsubscribed (Opted Out and Do Not Email).
- Limits
- Runs in your browser with no row cap; an uploaded file can be up to 25 MB.
Which Pardot prospects can't be emailed?
Salesforce's Prospect Mailability Status page lists them: prospects marked Opted Out or Do Not Email, and Undeliverable prospects, which have had a single hard bounce or five or more soft bounces and can't receive any email. Here, Opted Out and Do Not Email are read from their columns and set aside (Opted Out unless you untick the option); a mailability column that says Undeliverable sets the prospect aside as bounced.
Account Engagement only marks an address Undeliverable after mailing it. Prospects from imports, events and data vendors that haven't been emailed yet carry no bounce history at all.
Should you verify prospects before an Account Engagement send?
Yes, for anything imported or old. Every hard bounce on a send counts against your sending reputation, and Google's sender guidelines judge senders on what they send. Checking first means the dead addresses never get mailed. The Pardot and Marketo import guide covers verifying before the import.
Who uses this tool, and for what?
- Marketing ops
- Pull a clean prospect list before a migration, with every opted-out prospect kept for the suppression list.
- Event marketers
- Check trade-show and webinar prospects that were imported but never mailed before the follow-up.
- Agencies
- Clean a client's Account Engagement export before it goes into another platform.
What can’t this tool tell you?
- Column labels vary by account and export; they're found by name and the notes say which were read.
- Without a mailability column, undeliverable prospects can't be told apart from mailable ones.
- Email preference center opt-outs from individual lists aren't detected unless the file says so.
- It can't tell which addresses still have a working inbox.
Common questions
- What makes a Pardot prospect undeliverable?
- Salesforce says a prospect becomes Undeliverable after a single hard bounce or five or more soft bounces, and Undeliverable prospects can't receive any emails.
- What's the difference between Opted Out and Do Not Email in Pardot?
- Opted Out means the prospect unsubscribed from marketing email. Do Not Email is set by your team or a sync and stops all email to them. Both are set aside here.
- Which columns does the export need?
- An email column, plus Opted Out and Do Not Email to set those prospects aside. Columns are found by name, so extra columns are fine.
- Is my file uploaded?
- No. It's read in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to check the addresses afterwards.

A tidy list can still be full of dead addresses.
Extracting, deduplicating and syntax checks all work on the text of an address. None of them can tell whether the mailbox exists. Only the server that hosts it can answer that, through an SMTP check, and that is what the paid product does.
- Upload the cleaned file as it is: CSVs up to 100,000 rows
- A real SMTP mailbox check on every row, with catch-all detection
