Smartlead verification cost calculator: credit packs vs a flat plan

Smartlead's pricing page prices verification credits on a slider from 6,000 to 960,000 credits, one-time or monthly ("Save 17%"). Reading the slider's own price table on 30 Oct 2026: 6,000 for $15 a month or $16.50 once; 12,000 for $30 a month or $33 once; 24,000 for $59 a month or $64.90 once; 48,000 for $114 a month or $127 once; 96,000 for $220 a month or $242 once; 192,000 for $417 a month or $458 once; 480,000 for $1,000 a month or $1,100 once; 960,000 for $1,846 a month or $2,030.60 once.

Its help centre article (updated 28 Oct 2026) says verification is "an add-on service starting from 6000 credits for $15 USD", which matches the monthly 6,000 pack. The pricing page's static text shows "$32.00" before the slider script runs, so confirm the price in your Smartlead account before you buy.

Neither page says how many credits one email uses; the calculator assumes one (not verified). Neither says whether unused verification credits expire, so we do not claim either way.

At 10,000 leads a month, the cheapest monthly route is $30 (2 x 6,000 credits). SimpleVerifier Growth covers 10,000 a month for $19 ($1.90 per 1,000).

At 50,000 a month it is $135 (9 x 6,000 credits), or $1,620 a year. SimpleVerifier Pro is $29.99 a month for up to 100,000 at full speed, then slower, never cut off.

Below about 6,000 leads a month, Smartlead's smallest pack ($15) costs less than SimpleVerifier Growth ($19), though Starter ($9 for 2,500 emails a month) is cheaper for very small volumes. The calculator shows whichever is lower.

Smartlead's help article says its verification runs when you upload a CSV to a campaign, and "You cannot verify leads once a campaign is live". SimpleVerifier works on live campaigns: connect Smartlead with its API key on the connect page, pick a campaign, and turn on daily auto-verify (paid plans). Once a day we check only leads we have not seen in that campaign before, up to 10,000 a day, and write the result back as you chose. The Smartlead integration page lists every API call.

Checks take time. List jobs average about 30 rows a minute over a day (up to about 60 while the day's capacity lasts), shared by all customers, so a big batch can take most of a day.

Smartlead's article says that after verification it sends to valid and catch-all leads. We treat catch-all differently: a catch-all address is always risky, never valid, because the server accepts every address and an SMTP check cannot confirm the mailbox. You choose what happens to risky leads.

When your volume is small. At a few thousand leads a month the smallest pack costs about the same as our Growth plan or less, and it lives where you already work.

When you always verify at upload and never add leads to live campaigns. Smartlead's check runs inside the upload flow, so there is no extra step.

A separate verifier pays off at larger volumes, when leads are added to campaigns that are already live, when you want catch-all leads held back rather than sent, or when the same leads also go to a CRM or another tool and you want one result everywhere.
