Instantly verification cost calculator: what checking your leads costs in credits
In short: Leads a month and your Instantly credit plan, priced at 0.25 credits a lead from Instantly's own credit table, next to the SimpleVerifier plan that covers the same volume. Limit: Instantly's prices were read 30 Oct 2026 and change; credits are shared with SuperSearch, so the value shown is what verification takes from that pool.
Instantly charges 0.25 credits per lead verified, so 1,000 leads use 250 credits. At Instantly's published credit plans that is about $2.13 to $15 per 1,000 leads, depending on the plan (read 30 Oct 2026). Enter your volume and plan to see your figure next to the SimpleVerifier plan that covers it, from $9 a month.
Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

How do I work out what Instantly verification costs me?
- Enter how many new leads you verify in Instantly each month.
- Pick the Instantly credit plan you are on, or None to see the cheapest plan that would cover verification on its own.
- Read the credits used, what they are worth at your plan's rate, and the share of your monthly credits they take.
- Compare it with the SimpleVerifier plan on the last row, and connect Instantly if you want new leads checked every day automatically.
How much does Instantly charge to verify a lead?
Instantly's Data Credit System article and its How to Verify Leads guide both say lead verification costs 0.25 credits per lead. Its catch-all article gives the same 0.25 credits per lead for catch-all verification; it does not say whether that is charged on top of the standard check, so the calculator counts 0.25 once.
Credits are bought as monthly credit plans, from Nano ($9 for 150 credits) to Hyper 6 ($1,700 for 200,000 credits). So a verification costs $15 per 1,000 on Nano, $7.83 on Growth, $4.93 on Hyper and $2.13 on Hyper 6. Paying annually is 10% less, with all credits upfront. Instantly's own benchmark post (31 Jan 2026) puts it at "~$8-16" per 1,000.
The same credits pay for SuperSearch lead data, so credits spent verifying are credits you cannot spend finding leads. The calculator shows what share of your plan verification takes.
Do Instantly credits expire?
Yes. Instantly's credit article says credits "expire 2 months after purchase if unused" on monthly plans and 1 year after purchase on annual plans (read 30 Oct 2026). If your lead volume swings from month to month, a quiet month's credits can expire before you use them.
SimpleVerifier's Starter ($9, 2,500 emails a month) and Growth ($19, 10,000 emails a month) allowances reset every month and do not roll over either. Pro ($29.99 a month) has no allowance to expire: 100,000 a month run at full speed, then big lists run slower, never cut off.
What does that come to at real volumes?
At 10,000 leads a month, verification uses 2,500 credits: $49.25 of credits on Hyper, or Supersonic ($97 a month) if you bought credits only for it. SimpleVerifier Growth covers 10,000 a month for $19 ($1.90 per 1,000).
At 50,000 leads a month it is 12,500 credits: $246.25 at Hyper's rate, more than the plan's 10,000 credits, or Hyper 2 at $300 a month. SimpleVerifier Pro is $29.99 a month for that volume.
How do I automate verification of new Instantly leads?
Connect Instantly on the connect page with an Instantly API v2 key, pick a campaign or lead list, and turn on daily auto-verify (paid plans). Once a day SimpleVerifier pulls that campaign's leads and checks only the addresses it has not seen there before, up to 10,000 a day per campaign. By default it tags each lead with sv_status (valid, risky or invalid) in Instantly; removing invalid leads or adding them to your block list is opt-in. The Instantly integration page lists every API call it makes.
Checks are not instant. List jobs average about 30 rows a minute over a day (up to about 60 while the day's capacity lasts), shared by all customers, so a large batch of new leads can take most of a day. Catch-all addresses are always marked risky, never valid, because no SMTP check can confirm a mailbox on a domain that accepts every address.
When should I just use Instantly's built-in check?
When you verify a small number of leads and already have spare credits. If your plan's credits would otherwise expire unused, verification inside Instantly costs you nothing extra, and a separate tool adds a step for no saving.
When speed matters more than price. Instantly verifies at upload and in the campaign's Leads tab, and its catch-all article says it attempts to resolve catch-all addresses, which we do not: we mark them risky and leave the decision to you. If you want an answer on catch-all leads inside Instantly, try its check on a sample.
A separate verifier pays off when the volume is large, when credits keep expiring or run short for lead finding, or when the same leads also go to a CRM, a Clay table or another sequencer and you want one result format everywhere.
Who uses this tool, and for what?
- Agencies
- Price verification for each client's monthly lead volume before deciding whether to spend Instantly credits on it.
- Cold emailers
- See how much of your credit plan verification eats, and whether those credits would serve you better on SuperSearch leads.
- Ops and finance
- Compare the credit plan you would need for verification alone with a flat monthly verifier.
What can’t this tool tell you?
- Instantly's prices and credit rules were read 30 Oct 2026 and can change; its own pages are the final word.
- Uses monthly-billed credit plan prices. Annual billing is cheaper, and add-ons above Hyper are not priced.
- Charges 0.25 credits once per lead. Whether catch-all verification adds a second charge is not stated by Instantly (not verified).
- Compares price only, not accuracy or speed. Instantly's built-in check runs at upload; ours runs once a day on connected campaigns.
Common questions
- How many credits does Instantly use to verify an email?
- 0.25 credits per lead, according to Instantly's help centre (read 30 Oct 2026). 1,000 leads use 250 credits and 10,000 use 2,500.
- How much does Instantly email verification cost per 1,000?
- About $2.13 to $15 per 1,000 leads at Instantly's monthly credit plans, from Hyper 6 down to Nano. Instantly's own benchmark post says "~$8-16" per 1,000. Annual billing is 10% less.
- Do Instantly credits expire?
- Yes. Instantly says unused credits expire 2 months after purchase on monthly plans and 1 year after purchase on annual plans.
- Is SimpleVerifier cheaper than verifying inside Instantly?
- Usually, unless your volume is small and you already pay for Instantly credits you would not otherwise use. SimpleVerifier Starter is $9 for 2,500 emails a month, Growth $19 for 10,000 emails a month and Pro $29.99 for 100,000 a month at full speed. If you already have Instantly credits that would expire unused, using them costs nothing extra, and the calculator says so when Instantly comes out the same or cheaper.
- Can SimpleVerifier verify new Instantly leads automatically?
- Yes, on a paid plan. Connect Instantly at /connect, pick a campaign or lead list and turn on daily auto-verify. New leads are checked once a day, up to 10,000 a day per campaign, and tagged in Instantly. Nothing is removed or blocked unless you choose it.
- Does SimpleVerifier mark catch-all emails as valid?
- No. Catch-all addresses are always risky, never valid, because the server accepts every address and an SMTP check cannot confirm the mailbox. You decide whether to send to them.
