Libero email checker: does this libero.it mailbox exist?

In short: Asks Libero's own mail server whether a libero.it, inwind.it, iol.it, blu.it or giallo.it mailbox exists, without sending anything, after syntax, domain, disposable and role checks. Limit: A valid result shows Libero accepted the mailbox today, not that anyone reads it.

To check if a Libero address exists, enter it here. The checker asks Libero's mail server about the mailbox at RCPT TO, then disconnects before any message is sent. Libero rejected made-up addresses with 550 Invalid Recipient on 12 October and 8 November 2026, so a missing mailbox comes back invalid and an accepted one valid; anything unconfirmed stays risky.

Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. Check your list free nowSee pricing

Tuned for libero.it, inwind.it, iol.it, blu.it, giallo.it. Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.

How do I check a whole list of Libero addresses?

  1. Export the list as a CSV or copy the email column; Libero rows and every other domain can go in together.
  2. Upload or paste it at /verify. The first 100 email checks are free with a Google sign-in, no card.
  3. For every list after that, Pro includes unlimited email verification. Fair use: the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off.

How do I check a Libero email address?

  1. Type or paste one address, such as [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected].
  2. Press Check. The tool checks the syntax and domain, asks Libero's server about a random address that can't exist, then about yours, and disconnects before anything is sent.
  3. Read the verdict: valid means Libero accepted the mailbox and rejected the made-up one, invalid means it said the recipient is invalid, risky means the check didn't get a clear answer.
  4. If it comes back risky, check again later: with Libero that is usually a cut-short check, not a bad address.

Example

You enter
One address: [email protected].
You get
Valid when Libero accepts the mailbox after rejecting a random address; invalid ("Mailbox not found") when it answers 550 Invalid Recipient; risky only when the check gets no clear answer.
Limits
Five checks a minute per IP address, one address at a time, no account needed.

How do I check if a Libero address exists without emailing it?

Ask Libero's mail server instead of the mailbox. On 8 November 2026 libero.it published smtp-in.libero.it as its MX, and inwind.it, iol.it, blu.it and giallo.it each published their own smtp-in host. On 12 October 2026 Libero answered a made-up address at RCPT TO with 550 Invalid Recipient [LIB_520], and a fresh made-up address was rejected again through this checker on 8 November.

That makes Libero one of the providers where a single mailbox can be confirmed: a rejection comes back invalid ("Mailbox not found") and an acceptance valid. The Libero provider page has the full DNS snapshot. Virgilio, the other big Italiaonline webmail, answers the same way with a VIR_520 code; see virgilio.it.

Why do Libero addresses go dead so quickly?

Under Libero's contract terms, a mailbox with no login for more than 120 days can be deactivated, and from then on it receives no new messages. After 270 days it can be closed for good and, per the help centre, its contents removed. A Libero contact who has been silent for about four months may already be unreachable.

Libero's setup guides treat @libero.it, @inwind.it, @iol.it, @giallo.it and @blu.it as one service, so the checker covers all five and the same recency rules apply to each.

Can I check a whole list of Italian addresses?

Yes. Sign in and use the bulk verifier for a CSV or a pasted list; Libero rows get the same mailbox check as here, alongside Gmail, Virgilio and everything else. Because Libero deactivates mailboxes after 120 idle days, re-check an Italian list every few months rather than once a year.

For a single Gmail address, the Gmail address checker works the same way. The email checker handles any other domain.

What can this checker confirm at Libero?

Each row is something the check runs on a Libero address, and the result you can get from it.

What can’t this tool tell you?

  • A valid result shows Libero accepted the mailbox today, not that anyone reads it.
  • A temporary reply or a refused connection comes back risky, not invalid.
  • Libero doesn't publish how its servers answer mailbox checks; the handling here is from our own checks, which can change.
  • One address at a time, five a minute.

Common questions

How do I check if a libero.it email address is valid?
Enter it here. The checker confirms the syntax and mail servers, then asks Libero's server about the mailbox without sending. Libero rejects addresses that don't exist, so a missing mailbox comes back invalid.
Are inwind.it and iol.it Libero addresses?
Yes. Libero's own setup guides treat libero.it, inwind.it, iol.it, giallo.it and blu.it as one service, and this checker covers all five.
Does Libero delete inactive mailboxes?
Libero's terms allow a mailbox with no login for more than 120 days to be deactivated, so it stops receiving mail; after 270 days it can be closed for good.
What does LIB_520 mean in a Libero bounce?
It is Libero's own reference code on a 550 Invalid Recipient rejection, the reply we got for a made-up address. Treat it as a hard bounce and remove the address.
Is this checker free?
Yes, five checks a minute with no account. For a whole list, sign in with Google for 100 free email checks, no card, or use a monthly plan.
