SPF — authorised senders
SPF present, soft fail (~all)
MX records say which servers accept mail for a domain. Without them the domain cannot receive email at all, and every address at it will bounce.
SPF lists the servers permitted to send on the domain's behalf, and DKIM signs messages so receivers can confirm they were not altered. DMARC tells receivers what to do when those checks fail — and a policy of p=none enforces nothing.
Records alone do not guarantee delivery. Sending to addresses that no longer exist damages sender reputation faster than any missing record, which is why bounce rate matters more than most senders expect.
