EmailBison leads to email list: bounced, unsubscribed and replied set aside

In short: Reads an EmailBison lead or campaign export, sets aside leads marked bounced or unsubscribed (and, by choice, replied, interested or not interested), merges the same lead across campaigns and gives you a reusable list and a suppression file. Limit: EmailBison doesn't publish its export headings; columns are found by name, and the notes say which were read.

Export the leads from EmailBison (Leads, or a campaign's leads) and upload the CSV here. Leads marked bounced or unsubscribed are always set aside; replied, interested and not interested ones are by choice. The same address across campaigns merges, and you download the leads safe to re-use and a suppression file for every other tool you send from.

Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

How do I check EmailBison leads before re-using them?

  1. Download the reusable leads here.
  2. Upload them at /verify for a live mailbox check. The first 100 email checks are free with a Google sign-in, no card.
  3. Import the valid leads into the next campaign, and the suppression file as a blocklist.
Check the leads

How do I turn an EmailBison export into a clean email list?

  1. In EmailBison, open Leads (or a campaign's leads), filter by status if you like, select the leads and export them as CSV.
  2. Upload or paste the file here and press Split the leads.
  3. Choose whether replied, interested and not interested leads are set aside, and whether role addresses and risky verification results are.
  4. Download the reusable leads and the suppression list.

Example

You enter
An EmailBison export of 7 leads with status, campaign, replies and unsubscribed columns: Contacted, Bounced, Contacted with unsubscribed true, Interested with 1 reply, Not contacted, Not interested, and [email protected] repeating the first lead in a second campaign.
You get
2 leads safe to re-use ([email protected] in both campaigns, [email protected]); 4 on the suppression list: 1 bounced, 1 unsubscribed, 1 interested (handle by hand) and 1 not interested.
Limits
Runs in your browser with no row cap; an uploaded file can be up to 25 MB.

Which EmailBison leads shouldn't go into another campaign?

Bounced and unsubscribed leads, always: EmailBison shows these statuses on each lead, and mailing them again costs reputation and, for unsubscribes, breaks the rules. Leads who replied or are interested belong in a conversation, not another cold sequence, and not-interested ones have already answered. The tool sets all of those aside by default.

Columns are found by name (email, status, campaign, replies, unsubscribed, bounced), so a status column or a true/false flag both work. A reply count above zero marks a lead as replied.

Moving to or from EmailBison?

Many teams move from Smartlead or Instantly to EmailBison, or the other way. Take the suppression file with you, and check the reusable leads before the first send from the new inboxes: Google's sender guidelines judge new senders on their early sends. The campaign migration cleaner also renames columns for the target tool, and EmailBison's bulk uploader handles the inbox side.

Who uses this tool, and for what?

Agencies
Re-use a client's old EmailBison leads in a new campaign without re-mailing bounces and unsubscribes.
Founders
Pull a suppression list out of EmailBison before trying another sequencer.
SDR teams
Recycle leads that finished a sequence months ago, after checking which inboxes still exist.

What can’t this tool tell you?

  • EmailBison doesn't publish its export headings; columns are found by name, and the notes say which were read.
  • A lead that didn't bounce last time can bounce now; the export can't show that.
  • Replies marked in a tag or note rather than a status or count column aren't detected.

Common questions

Which columns does the EmailBison export need?
An email column and, to set leads aside, a status column or bounced, unsubscribed and replies columns. Columns are found by name.
Does EmailBison's own verification count?
If the export has a verification column, invalid results are set aside and risky ones can be. That result is from when the lead was added, not today.
What if the same lead is in several campaigns?
The rows merge into one, with the campaigns listed, and the strongest reason to suppress wins.
Is my file uploaded?
No. It is read in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to check the addresses afterwards.

A tidy list can still be full of dead addresses.

Extracting, deduplicating and syntax checks all work on the text of an address. None of them can tell whether the mailbox exists. Only the server that hosts it can answer that, through an SMTP check, and that is what the paid product does.

  • Upload the cleaned file as it is: CSVs up to 100,000 rows
  • A real SMTP mailbox check on every row, with catch-all detection
