LinkedIn email finder: get a work email from a profile URL

In short: Reads the first and last name from each linkedin.com/in/ URL you paste (LinkedIn itself is never opened), builds the likely work addresses at the company domain, and checks the top patterns with a live SMTP mailbox check, stopping at the first that exists. Limit: Three searches every ten minutes, and each checks at most eight patterns.

To find an email from a LinkedIn profile, take the name from the profile URL, add the company's domain, and test the common patterns (first.last, first, flast) against the company's mail server. This tool does that: it reads the name from each linkedin.com/in/ URL in your browser, never opens LinkedIn, and checks the top patterns over SMTP without sending an email.

Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

The name is read from the URL in your browser; LinkedIn is never opened or fetched. If the URL doesn’t spell the name, write it after the domain.

Found the address? Verify the rest of the list before you send

  1. Each search here checks one person; three searches every ten minutes keep the mail servers' patience.
  2. Already have addresses for the others? Paste them into the box under the result, or upload the file at /verify; each one gets a live mailbox check without an email being sent.
  3. Need addresses for hundreds of people? The email finder runs names and domains in bulk on a plan.

How do I find an email address from a LinkedIn profile?

  1. Copy the profile URL from the address bar (linkedin.com/in/jane-smith-4b2a91) and the company's website domain from the profile's Experience section.
  2. Paste one profile per line as URL, domain. If the URL doesn't spell the name (jsmith42), add the name after the domain: URL, domain, Jane Smith.
  3. Press Read names, then Find email on each row. The domain is checked for catch-all first, then the top patterns one at a time over SMTP.
  4. Copy the confirmed addresses or download the CSV, then paste the rest of your list below to verify it in one go.

Example

You enter
Three lines: linkedin.com/in/jane-a-smith-4b2a91, northwind.example, linkedin.com/in/raj-mehta-cpa, contoso.com and linkedin.com/in/jsmith42, fabrikam.com, John Smith.
You get
Names read as Jane A Smith, Raj Mehta (the ID and CPA dropped) and John Smith (written on the line, because jsmith42 doesn't spell a name). Each row shows the most common pattern, such as [email protected], and Find email checks catch-all first, then up to 8 patterns over SMTP, stopping at the first that exists.
Limits
Up to 25 profiles a run; three mailbox searches per ten minutes, each checking at most 8 patterns.

Why does this tool never open LinkedIn?

LinkedIn's User Agreement forbids scraping and automated access, and a profile page behind a login isn't public data anyway. Everything this tool needs is in the URL you already have: most public profile URLs are the person's name, sometimes with an ID on the end, such as linkedin.com/in/jane-a-smith-4b2a91.

The name is read from that slug in your browser: IDs, digits and credentials such as MBA or CPA are dropped, accents are folded and the first and last words become the first and last name. When the slug is a nickname or initials, you type the name; the tool doesn't guess.

How are the email addresses guessed and checked?

The candidates come from the same generator as the email permutator. The first ten patterns are ranked by their share in Sendburg B2B email format analysis (336,782 work emails), with first.last and first on top; the rest follow a stated heuristic.

Find email then asks the company's mail server, over SMTP, whether each of the top eight addresses exists, one at a time, and stops at the first yes. If the domain accepts every address (catch-all), no mailbox check can choose, so the tool says so and shows the most common pattern as a guess, marked as risky.

What each outcome means

ResultWhat it meansWhat to do
Mailbox foundThe server confirmed that address existsUse it; it may still be shared or reassigned
Catch-allThe server accepts every addressTreat the top pattern as risky; send in small batches
No matchNone of the top patterns existFind one real address at the company for its format
No clear answerThe server deferred or blocked the checkTry later; unknown is not invalid

Who uses this tool, and for what?

SDRs
Turn the profiles from a Sales Navigator search into checked work emails for a first touch, without a browser extension.
Recruiters
Reach a candidate at work when InMail credits run out, with the address confirmed before you write.
Founders
Find the one decision-maker at a target account from their profile and the company website.

What can’t this tool tell you?

  • Three searches every ten minutes, and each checks at most eight patterns.
  • A catch-all domain or a server that blocks checks can't confirm any pattern; the result says so.
  • The company domain has to be the one it sends email from; a marketing domain can give no match.
  • A mailbox that exists may belong to someone else with the same name.

Common questions

Can I find someone's email from their LinkedIn profile for free?
Yes. Paste the profile URL and the company domain; the name is read from the URL and the top patterns are checked over SMTP. Three searches every ten minutes are free here, with no sign-up.
Does this scrape LinkedIn?
No. Only the URL text you paste is read, in your browser. LinkedIn is never fetched, so nothing behind its login is touched.
Where do I find the company domain?
On the company's LinkedIn page under Website, or by searching the company name. Use the domain the company sends email from, which is usually its website domain.
Why does it say the name isn't readable?
Some profile URLs are nicknames or initials (jsmith42, janes). Add the full name after the domain on the same line and the tool uses that instead.
Is a found address safe to send to?
It exists today, which is what stops a hard bounce. It may not belong to the person you searched for, and finding an address is not permission to email it; check the law where you and they are.
