Email verifier for Instantly and Smartlead
SimpleVerifier connects to both Instantly and Smartlead with your API key, checks every lead in a campaign or list with an SMTP mailbox check, and tags each lead valid, risky or invalid; deleting invalid leads is opt-in. On paid plans it can also verify new leads daily, up to 10,000 a run. The first 100 checks are free; plans start at $9 a month and Pro is $39.
Nothing is removed unless you turn it on. The default writes the result into each lead (Instantly custom variables, Smartlead custom fields), so you can filter or pause risky leads in the tool you already use. A campaign or list of up to 100,000 leads is checked in one run.
Cold email lists are where verification pays most: bounces count against the sending mailbox, and a scraped or bought list often has a large catch-all share that no verifier can confirm.

At 10,000 a month or fewer, Growth ($19) costs less. Vendor prices read 12 Oct 2026 to 30 Oct 2026. Each vendor links to its comparison page, which records the date its prices were read. Test it on a real address first
Type any address. It gets the same check the paid plans run: syntax, the domain’s mail servers and, where the provider allows it, a live mailbox check. Nothing is sent to the address.
Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.
Have a list? Sign in with Google and the first 100 addresses are checked free, with results to download. No card.

Instantly
Create an API v2 key in Instantly (Settings > Integrations > API Keys), paste it on the Instantly integration page and pick a campaign or lead list. Each lead gets sv_status (valid, risky or invalid) and sv_verified_at. Optional, off by default: delete invalid leads from that campaign or list, or add them to your Instantly block list for the whole workspace. Instantly's API has no way to pause a single lead, so pausing is not offered.
Smartlead
Create an API key in Smartlead (Admin API Keys), paste it on the Smartlead integration page and choose the campaign. Results are written to each lead's custom fields; valid leads are left as they are to save API calls. Removing invalid leads is opt-in.
What to do with risky leads
Send valid leads normally. Hold back risky ones, or send them slowly in a small test batch from one mailbox and watch the bounce rate. Catch-all domains, Yahoo, AOL and, for now, Outlook.com and Hotmail come back risky because those servers won't confirm mailboxes to us.
Mailbox checks are paced, because mail servers slow down or block verifiers that probe too fast, and the daily check capacity is shared between customers. Addresses that need no mailbox check, such as broken syntax, dead domains and disposable addresses, come back at once. The rest run in a queue, and the job card shows an estimated finish time. The daily auto-verify of new leads is billed to a paid plan only, never to free checks or packs.
When another option is the better pick
- You want verification billed inside your outreach tool: Instantly and Smartlead both offer their own verifier. Their terms are on the Instantly and Smartlead comparison pages.
- A vendor in the table costs less at your monthly volume. The table lists them as plainly as the ones that cost more.
- You use lemlist, Reply.io or another sequencer: our lemlist connector is in beta, and the rest work by CSV.

- Only if you turn that option on. By default it only writes the result into each lead.

- Yes, on paid plans: a daily run checks new leads in the connected campaign or list, up to 10,000 a run. It is never billed to free checks or packs.
- Does it work with an Instantly or Smartlead free trial?
- It needs an API key from your Instantly or Smartlead account; whether your plan there includes API access is set by Instantly or Smartlead.

Pro is $39 a month and never cuts you off: the first 100,000 emails a month run at full speed, then big lists run slower. CSV uploads, the API (10,000 calls a month, then $1.50 per 1,000), the Google Sheets add-on and the email finder are included, and you can cancel any time. For smaller volumes, Starter is $9 a month for 2,500 emails a month and Growth $19 a month for 10,000 emails a month.
