The checker probes @frontiernet.net, but it first offers a random address that can't exist. frontiernet.net's server accepts it, so the checker returns the real address as risky with "Accepts all addresses" rather than calling it valid. It always checks the syntax, the domain's MX records, disposable domains and role addresses such as info@ first.

What Frontier Mail (frontiernet.net)'s server says about a missing mailbox
Frontier Mail (frontiernet.net) answered our made-up frontiernet.net address with 250 recipient <…@frontiernet.net> ok at RCPT TO, the step where a verifier names the recipient. When a server says yes to an address that cannot exist, its yes for your real address carries no information. SimpleVerifier tests a random address first for exactly this reason and returns frontiernet.net results as risky with the reason "Accepts all addresses".
Accepting at RCPT TO doesn't mean every message is delivered. Providers that do this usually decide later, after the message is sent, and a missing mailbox then produces a bounce rather than an up-front rejection. That is why accept-all results belong in their own segment: accept-all vs unknown results covers how to treat them.
Mail for this domain is received by Yahoo's servers, the same network that receives yahoo.com and aol.com mail, so it behaves the same way when checked.
frontiernet.net is Frontier email, now run on Yahoo
Frontier's mail terms list frontiernet.net alongside frontier.com, epix.net, gvni.com, newnorth.net and citlink.net, and Frontier says its email service and support moved to Yahoo on 20 March 2024. That is why the domain's MX points at Yahoo's servers and why it accepts every recipient during a check.
The same terms close mailboxes after 180 days of inactivity and return later mail as undeliverable. A frontiernet.net address that hasn't engaged for six months may already be closed, so rely on recent opens or replies rather than the check result.
Cleaning frontiernet.net addresses when the server says yes to everything
Don't delete frontiernet.net addresses just because they came back risky; most will be real. Remove what can be proven bad without the mailbox check: syntax errors, typo domains, duplicates and disposable addresses, which the free list health check finds in the browser.
Then send to the frontiernet.net segment in a small first batch and watch the bounces. Addresses that bounce as unknown users are gone and should be suppressed; the rest have proved themselves. Engagement history is the other strong signal: an address that opened or replied recently is live whatever the check says. Should you send to catch-all emails? walks through the same approach.
Common questions
- Can you verify @frontiernet.net addresses?
- Partly. @frontiernet.net accepts any recipient, so a single mailbox can't be confirmed.
- Can I check if a frontiernet.net address exists without emailing it?
- Not reliably. On 4 November 2026 Frontier Mail (frontiernet.net)'s server accepted a made-up frontiernet.net address at the RCPT TO step, so a mailbox check gets the same yes for real and fake addresses. Verifiers return frontiernet.net addresses as risky (accept-all).
- What mail servers does frontiernet.net use?
- On 4 November 2026, frontiernet.net published these MX hosts: mta5.am0.yahoodns.net, mta6.am0.yahoodns.net, mta7.am0.yahoodns.net. You can look them up yourself with the free MX lookup tool.
- Should I delete frontiernet.net addresses that come back risky?
- No. For frontiernet.net, risky reflects how the server treats checks, not the address. Remove the ones that fail format, typo-domain and duplicate checks, then send to the rest in a small batch and suppress whatever hard-bounces.
