How to check if an aol.co.uk email address exists

Can you verify @aol.co.uk addresses?

Partly

Partly. @aol.co.uk accepts any recipient, so a single mailbox can't be confirmed.

Check one address

Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.

Checking a whole list? The first 100 addresses are free, with results to download. No card.

The checker probes @aol.co.uk, but it first offers a random address that can't exist. aol.co.uk's server accepts it, so the checker returns the real address as risky with "Accepts all addresses" rather than calling it valid. It always checks the syntax, the domain's MX records, disposable domains and role addresses such as info@ first.

Reasons you'll see in results:Accepts all addresses

AOL Mail UK addresses can't be confirmed with a mailbox check. On 4 November 2026 the aol.co.uk mail server mx-aol.mail.gm0.yahoodns.net accepted a made-up recipient at RCPT TO with 250 recipient <…@aol.co.uk> ok, so real and fake addresses get the same answer. Expect aol.co.uk results to come back risky (accept-all), not valid or invalid.

Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

What AOL Mail UK's server says about a missing mailbox

AOL Mail UK answered our made-up aol.co.uk address with 250 recipient <…@aol.co.uk> ok at RCPT TO, the step where a verifier names the recipient. When a server says yes to an address that cannot exist, its yes for your real address carries no information. SimpleVerifier tests a random address first for exactly this reason and returns aol.co.uk results as risky with the reason "Accepts all addresses".

Accepting at RCPT TO doesn't mean every message is delivered. Providers that do this usually decide later, after the message is sent, and a missing mailbox then produces a bounce rather than an up-front rejection. That is why accept-all results belong in their own segment: accept-all vs unknown results covers how to treat them.

Mail for this domain is received by Yahoo's servers, the same network that receives yahoo.com and aol.com mail, so it behaves the same way when checked.

aol.co.uk runs on AOL's two inactivity clocks

aol.co.uk is received by the same Yahoo-network host as aol.com, so the AOL account rules apply to it. AOL's mailbox help page says a mailbox without a sign-in for 12 months becomes inactive, stops receiving new email and is emptied, and its account deletion page lists 24 months without a sign-in as a reason the account is deleted.

UK AOL addresses tend to be among the oldest on a consumer list, so both clocks will have run on many of them. The server accepts every recipient during a check, so send old aol.co.uk segments a small batch first and suppress every hard bounce permanently.

Cleaning aol.co.uk addresses when the server says yes to everything

Don't delete aol.co.uk addresses just because they came back risky; most will be real. Remove what can be proven bad without the mailbox check: syntax errors, typo domains, duplicates and disposable addresses, which the free list health check finds in the browser.

Then send to the aol.co.uk segment in a small first batch and watch the bounces. Addresses that bounce as unknown users are gone and should be suppressed; the rest have proved themselves. Engagement history is the other strong signal: an address that opened or replied recently is live whatever the check says. Should you send to catch-all emails? walks through the same approach.

Common questions

Can you verify @aol.co.uk addresses?
Partly. @aol.co.uk accepts any recipient, so a single mailbox can't be confirmed.
Can I check if an aol.co.uk address exists without emailing it?
Not reliably. On 4 November 2026 AOL Mail UK's server accepted a made-up aol.co.uk address at the RCPT TO step, so a mailbox check gets the same yes for real and fake addresses. Verifiers return aol.co.uk addresses as risky (accept-all).
What mail servers does aol.co.uk use?
On 4 November 2026, aol.co.uk published these MX hosts: mx-aol.mail.gm0.yahoodns.net. You can look them up yourself with the free MX lookup tool.
Should I delete aol.co.uk addresses that come back risky?
No. For aol.co.uk, risky reflects how the server treats checks, not the address. Remove the ones that fail format, typo-domain and duplicate checks, then send to the rest in a small batch and suppress whatever hard-bounces.
