Yandex address checker: see if a Yandex mailbox exists
To check if a Yandex address exists, enter it here. The checker asks Yandex's mail server about the mailbox at the RCPT TO step, then disconnects before any message is sent. Yandex rejected a made-up @yandex.ru address with 550 5.7.1 No such user! in our 23 October 2026 study, so a missing mailbox comes back invalid and a real one valid; anything unconfirmed stays risky.
Tuned for yandex.ru, yandex.com, ya.ru. Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.
Sample result
made-up-x7qk2@yandex.ru doesn't exist: Yandex said "No such user!".
- made-up-x7qk2@yandex.ru
- Reason
- Mailbox not found
- Mailbox check
- SMTP, nothing sent
What this means for you

- Tests a random address before yours
- Covers yandex.ru, yandex.com and ya.ru

How do I check if a Yandex address is real?
- Type or paste one address, such as
name@yandex.ru,name@yandex.comorname@ya.ru. - Press Check. The tool checks the syntax and domain, asks Yandex's server about a random address that can't exist, then about yours, and disconnects before anything is sent.
- Read the verdict: valid means Yandex accepted the mailbox and rejected the made-up one, invalid means it said there is no such user, risky means the check didn't get a clear answer.
- If it comes back risky, check again later before you drop the address: with Yandex that is usually a cut-short check, not a bad address.
Example
- You enter
- One address:
made-up-x7qk2@yandex.ru. - You get
- Invalid, with the reason "Mailbox not found": Yandex's server replied
550 5.7.1 No such user!at RCPT TO. A real mailbox comes back valid once Yandex has also rejected a random address; a temporary reply or timeout comes back risky. - Limits
- Five checks a minute per IP address, one address at a time, no account needed.
How do I check if a Yandex address exists without emailing it?
Ask Yandex's mail server instead of the mailbox. yandex.ru and yandex.com both publish mx.yandex.ru as their MX, and in our verification study on 23 October 2026 it rejected a made-up address at RCPT TO in both rounds. That makes Yandex one of the providers where a single mailbox can be confirmed, like Gmail.
Yandex uses the enhanced code 5.7.1, which normally means a policy refusal, rather than the usual 5.1.1. The checker reads the words too: "No such user!" is unambiguous, so it is reported as invalid ("Mailbox not found"), while a 5.7.1 that talks about policy or blocking stays risky. The Yandex provider page has the full DNS snapshot.
What does a valid, invalid or risky Yandex result mean?
Valid means Yandex accepted the mailbox today and rejected a random address, so the yes means something. It doesn't prove anyone reads the inbox. Invalid means Yandex said the user doesn't exist, or the address failed syntax, or it sits on a typo or disposable domain; remove it.
Risky on a Yandex address is uncommon and usually means the check was cut short: a temporary reply, a refused connection or the free tools' daily mailbox-check capacity running out. Role addresses such as info@yandex.ru come back risky too. Check again later before deciding.
Can I check a whole list of Yandex addresses?
Yes. Sign in and use the bulk verifier for a CSV or a pasted list; Yandex rows get the same mailbox check as here. For a single Gmail address, the Gmail address checker works the same way.
Company domains hosted on Yandex 360 are checked like any business domain: if the domain accepts the made-up address too, no address there can be confirmed and the result is risky ("Accepts all addresses"). The general email checker explains those results.
What can this checker confirm at Yandex?
Each row is something the check runs on a Yandex address, and the result you can get from it.
| Check | Can we confirm it? | Result when it fails |
|---|---|---|
| Syntax (the address is written correctly) | Yes | Invalid |
| Domain and mail server (MX) | Yes | Invalid, with a typo suggestion where one fits |
| Disposable or role address | Yes | Invalid (disposable) or risky (role) |
| The mailbox exists | Yes: Yandex answers at RCPT TO | Invalid, "Mailbox not found" |
| A temporary reply or timeout | No answer to read | Risky, worth checking again later |
| Someone reads the inbox | No checker can | Use opens, replies or a clean first send |

Who uses this tool, and for what?
- Sales and partnerships
- Confirm a Yandex address a contact gave you before you write to it, instead of finding out from a bounce.
- SaaS signups
- Spot-check suspicious Yandex signups: an invented address comes back invalid.
- List owners
- Test a few Yandex rows from an old export before deciding whether the whole list needs verifying.
What can’t this tool tell you?
- Valid means the mailbox exists today, not that anyone reads it.
- Measured on yandex.ru; yandex.com shares its mail server, but regional domains were not tested separately.
- A company domain that accepts every address can't be confirmed; those come back risky.
- One address at a time, five a minute. Whole lists need the bulk verifier.
Common questions
- Can you check if a Yandex email address exists without sending an email?
- Yes. Yandex's mail server answers the SMTP RCPT TO command, rejecting a missing user with 550 5.7.1 No such user!. The checker asks that question and disconnects before sending, so the owner receives nothing.
- Are yandex.ru and yandex.com the same?
- They are the same Yandex Mail service and both publish mx.yandex.ru as their mail server, so they are checked the same way. ya.ru is another Yandex address domain.
- Why does Yandex use 5.7.1 for a missing user?
- Yandex chose the policy-class enhanced code for unknown recipients. The reply text, No such user!, is what makes it a missing mailbox, so the checker reads the words, not only the code.
- Will the Yandex user know I checked their address?
- No message is delivered, so nothing appears in their inbox. The check ends after the mail server answers about the mailbox, before any message content is sent.
- Is the Yandex checker free?
- Yes, five checks a minute with no account. For a whole list, sign in with Google for 100 free email checks, no card, or use a paid plan.
That was one address. Most people have a list.
The free checker does five addresses a minute, one at a time — fine for spot-checking, useless for a CSV of 40,000.
- Upload a CSV up to 100,000 rows
- Valid, risky and invalid exported as separate files
- Repeat checks free for 14 days, no new connections
One plan, cancel anytime, no contract. Sign in with Google and your first 100 email checks are free, no card. The free tools stay free either way.
