Common questions

Where does this data come from?
Public DNS. On 5 November 2026 we read each domain's MX, SPF, DMARC, MTA-STS and TLS-RPT records with dig against public resolvers. No mail server was contacted and no message was sent.
Why are some domains missing?
Domains with their own mailbox provider page (Gmail, Yahoo, GMX and others) are listed on the provider index instead. Domains whose records are identical to another domain's are folded into that domain's page, and domains with no working mail server are not listed.
Does an MX record mean an address exists?
No. MX records show where mail for the whole domain goes. Whether one mailbox exists is a separate question, answered by a mailbox check or by a bounce.
