Toll-free and premium numbers in Slovakia
Toll-free numbers in Slovakia start with 0800 when dialled inside Slovakia (800 after +421 from abroad) and have 9 digits after the country code. Premium-rate numbers start with 0900, 097 or 098. Example: 0800 123 456, or +421800123456 in E.164.

What each type means for the caller
- Toll-free: 0800
- Free to the caller, usually only from inside the country; the business that owns the number pays for the call. 9 digits after +421.
- Premium rate: 0900, 097 or 098
- Charged above a normal call at a rate set by the service, with part of the charge going to the service provider. 9 digits after +421.
- Shared cost: 085–089
- The caller pays part of the cost and the owner pays the rest, so the price sits between a free and a normal call. 9 digits after +421.
- Universal access (UAN): 096
- One national number for a business with several sites, routed to the nearest or chosen office. 9 digits after +421.
- VoIP: 0602, 0650–0654 or 0690–0696
- Numbers issued for internet telephony services rather than a fixed line or a mobile network. 9 digits after +421.
Writing and dialling a Slovakia toll-free number
Inside Slovakia, dial the number with its leading 0. From abroad or in E.164, drop the 0 and put +421 in front: 0800 123 456 becomes +421800123456. Google's data marks the toll-free range as not diallable from abroad, so these numbers usually only work from inside Slovakia.
Toll-free and premium numbers in a phone list
In a lead or customer list, a toll-free number usually reaches a company line rather than a person, and a premium-rate number costs you money to call. The free toll-free number checker flags them in a pasted list or CSV, and the Slovakia phone number format page covers mobiles and landlines.

Common questions
- What is the toll-free prefix in Slovakia?
- Slovakia toll-free numbers start with 0800 at home, written +421 800 internationally. Every valid toll-free number starts that way, though not every number with those digits is in service.
- How many digits is a Slovakia toll-free number?
- 9 digits after the country code +421, plus the trunk prefix 0 when dialled inside Slovakia.
- Can I call a Slovakia toll-free number from abroad?
- Google's numbering-plan data marks Slovakia's toll-free range as not diallable from abroad, so expect the call to fail from outside Slovakia.
- How do I spot a premium-rate number in Slovakia?
- By its first digits: 0900, 097 or 098. Shared-cost numbers start with 085–089. The prefix tells you the range is charged; the actual price is set per service.

The numbering plan only knows what a range was issued for.
In the US and Canada mobiles and landlines share the same prefixes, and anywhere a number can be ported or reassigned the range stops telling the whole story. A live carrier lookup asks the network data instead, which is what Pro + Phone ($49.99/mo) adds.
