Toll-free and premium numbers in Russia
Toll-free numbers in Russia start with 8800, 8804 or 88108 when dialled inside Russia (800, 804 or 8108 after +7 from abroad) and have 10 or 14 digits after the country code. Premium-rate numbers start with 8803 or 8809. Example: 8 (800) 123-45-67, or +78001234567 in E.164.

Every valid Russia number of each type starts with one of these digit groups. The example column shows Google’s example number for the range, written internationally.
| Type | Starts with, after +7 | Dialled inside Russia | Digits | Example |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toll-free | 800, 804, 8108 | 8800, 8804, 88108 | 10 or 14 | +7 800 123 45 67 |
| Premium rate | 803, 809 | 8803, 8809 | 10 | +7 809 123 45 67 |
| Personal number | 808 | 8808 | 10 | +7 808 123 45 67 |
What each type means for the caller
- Toll-free: 8800, 8804 or 88108
- Free to the caller, usually only from inside the country; the business that owns the number pays for the call. 10 or 14 digits after +7.
- Premium rate: 8803 or 8809
- Charged above a normal call at a rate set by the service, with part of the charge going to the service provider. 10 digits after +7.
- Personal number: 8808
- A follow-me number that forwards to whatever phone its owner chooses, so the digits don't reveal the line behind it. 10 digits after +7.
Writing and dialling a Russia toll-free number
Inside Russia, dial the number with its leading 8. From abroad or in E.164, drop the 8 and put +7 in front: 8 (800) 123-45-67 becomes +78001234567. Many freephone numbers still only accept calls from inside Russia, and a call from abroad that does connect is usually charged.
Toll-free and premium numbers in a phone list
In a lead or customer list, a toll-free number usually reaches a company line rather than a person, and a premium-rate number costs you money to call. The free toll-free number checker flags them in a pasted list or CSV, and the Russia phone number format page covers mobiles and landlines.

A prefix says what a range is for. A live lookup says what the line is now.

Common questions
- What is the toll-free prefix in Russia?
- Russia toll-free numbers start with 8800, 8804 or 88108 at home, written +7 800, 804 or 8108 internationally. Every valid toll-free number starts that way, though not every number with those digits is in service.
- How many digits is a Russia toll-free number?
- 10 or 14 digits after the country code +7, plus the trunk prefix 8 when dialled inside Russia.
- Can I call a Russia toll-free number from abroad?
- Sometimes. Dial +7 and the number without the leading 8. Many freephone numbers only take calls from inside Russia, and where they do connect from abroad the call is usually charged.
- How do I spot a premium-rate number in Russia?
- By its first digits: 8803 or 8809. The prefix tells you the range is charged; the actual price is set per service.

In the US and Canada mobiles and landlines share the same prefixes, and anywhere a number can be ported or reassigned the range stops telling the whole story. A live carrier lookup asks the network data instead, which is what Pro + Phone ($49.99/mo) adds.
