Can an email verifier check Yahoo and AOL addresses?
No verifier can confirm a Yahoo or AOL mailbox from outside, because their servers accepted every address we tried, including made-up ones. In our 23 October 2026 test, Yahoo, AOL and the ISP domains Yahoo hosts all returned accepts-all. SimpleVerifier reports them as risky, with the reason stated.
How to handle them
Treat Yahoo and AOL addresses as risky: send them in a tested segment and let the first send's bounces decide. Mail addressed to att.net, sbcglobal.net, verizon.net, cox.net, rogers.com and sky.com is received by Yahoo, so the same applies to them.

Figures marked as ours come from SimpleVerifier’s own dated tests on made-up addresses, published with their data on the research page. No customer data is used, and we publish no accuracy percentage because we have no independent measurement to back one.
Do it now
Test it on a real address first
Type any address. It gets the same check the paid plans run: syntax, the domain’s mail servers and, where the provider allows it, a live mailbox check. Nothing is sent to the address.
Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.
