How do I bulk verify emails for Smartlead?
Verify the lead file before you upload it to Smartlead, or connect SimpleVerifier to Smartlead with an API key and check a campaign's leads in place. Import valid addresses, hold risky ones for a small test, and delete or block-list invalid ones so they cannot be re-added.
Notes specific to Smartlead
Smartlead lets you set the bounce auto-pause threshold yourself and fires a webhook when a campaign pauses; there is no default stated, so set one. Smartlead's docs say a lead that is not in any other campaign is also deleted from your account when removed, and its API allows about 60 calls a minute, so a large removal can take a while.

- Verify immediately before the campaign starts. A list verified weeks ago may have changed, and re-checking costs nothing in sending reputation.
Sources
Figures marked as ours come from SimpleVerifier’s own dated tests on made-up addresses, published with their data on the research page. No customer data is used, and we publish no accuracy percentage because we have no independent measurement to back one.
Do it now
Test it on a real address first
Type any address. It gets the same check the paid plans run: syntax, the domain’s mail servers and, where the provider allows it, a live mailbox check. Nothing is sent to the address.
Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.
