How long does bulk email verification take?
On SimpleVerifier, list jobs run at up to about 60 addresses a minute and about 30 a minute averaged over a day, on capacity shared by all customers. At the day average, 10,000 addresses take roughly 5.6 hours; very large lists queue and can take days.
Why it is not instant
Mailbox checks are conversations with other companies' mail servers, and those servers and hosting providers limit how fast they answer. Any vendor promising unlimited speed is bounded by the same limits. Bad syntax, dead domains and disposable addresses come back at once, results confirmed in the last 14 days return instantly, and every job shows an estimated finish time.
Back-of-envelope: at the peak pace, 10,000 addresses take about 2.8 hours and 100,000 about 27.8 hours; at the day average, about 55.6 hours for 100,000. Treat these as estimates, not a promise.

- Yes. An address confirmed in the last 14 days returns instantly from cache, as do bad syntax, dead domains and disposable addresses.

Figures marked as ours come from SimpleVerifier’s own dated tests on made-up addresses, published with their data on the research page. No customer data is used, and we publish no accuracy percentage because we have no independent measurement to back one.
Do it now
Test it on a real address first
Type any address. It gets the same check the paid plans run: syntax, the domain’s mail servers and, where the provider allows it, a live mailbox check. Nothing is sent to the address.
Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.
