Does verifying emails hurt my sender reputation?
No. A mailbox check connects from the verifier's servers, not yours, and ends before any message is sent, so your sending domain and IPs are not involved and nothing reaches the recipient. The one thing to avoid is checking addresses by sending test emails from your own domain, which does create bounces.
Why it is safe
Reputation is built from mail you actually send: bounces, complaints and engagement. A verification probe is not a message. The risk runs the other way: skipping verification means the first time you learn an address is dead is a hard bounce on your own domain.

Figures marked as ours come from SimpleVerifier’s own dated tests on made-up addresses, published with their data on the research page. No customer data is used, and we publish no accuracy percentage because we have no independent measurement to back one.
Do it now
Test it on a real address first
Type any address. It gets the same check the paid plans run: syntax, the domain’s mail servers and, where the provider allows it, a live mailbox check. Nothing is sent to the address.
Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.
