Cold email generator: 3 drafts from proven templates (no AI)

A cold email generator turns a few facts about your offer into a ready-to-edit first email. This one is template-based, not AI: you say who you help, the problem they have and what you help them do, and it fills five proven frameworks, such as trigger-led and problem-agitate-solve, returning three drafts with subject lines and word counts.

Your offer, in your words

Plural, as in "We help ___".

A clause, as in "do you find that ___?"

As in "we help them ___".

A real, checkable reason. Unlocks the trigger-led draft.

Only something you can back up. Unlocks the proof-led draft.

No AI: your words go into fixed, proven frameworks, in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is invented for you.

How do I generate a cold email from a template?

  1. Write who you help, the problem they have and what you help them do, in your own words. Those three are required.
  2. Add a real reason for writing to this person now and a true result you can back up, if you have them; each unlocks a stronger framework.
  3. Choose the ask (an interest question is the easiest to answer) and press Write 3 drafts.
  4. Edit the drafts. Highlighted {{placeholders}} are merge fields or gaps to fill; copy the one you like into your sequencer.

Example

You enter
Who you help: outbound agencies. Their problem: a chunk of every new lead list bounces. What you do: clean each list before it goes into the sequencer.
You get
3 drafts from fixed frameworks. Draft 1, “Quick question”, is 44 words with 2 subject line options and 3 placeholders such as {{first_name}} left to fill.
Limits
Each field takes up to 240 characters; fixed templates, no AI, runs in your browser.

How do I write a cold email?

Write one short message to one specific person: a reason you chose them, the problem you solve in a sentence, and one easy question. Our guide on how to write a cold email goes through each part. The frameworks here encode that structure, so every draft has an opener about them, one problem, one outcome and one ask.

The weakest part of most cold emails is the reason for writing. "I came across your profile" says nothing. A checkable fact (a job listing, a funding round, a tool on their careers page) is what tells the reader this isn't a blast, which is why the trigger-led draft appears first when you give one.

How long should a cold email be?

Short enough to read on a phone without scrolling, which in practice is roughly 50 to 125 words; the drafts here show their word count and flag anything longer. Length matters less than whether each sentence earns its place, so cut any line that doesn't explain why you're writing or make the ask easier.

Subject lines work best when they look like they came from a person: a few words, about the recipient, honest about what's inside. In the US, CAN-SPAM prohibits deceptive subject lines; see CAN-SPAM and cold email.

Is this an AI cold email generator?

No. Every sentence comes from a fixed template and your own words fill the slots, in your browser, with nothing sent to a server or a language model. That's a deliberate trade: a template can't invent a customer result, a fake compliment or a made-up statistic, which are exactly the lines a reader can check and catch.

The cost is that grammar depends on how you phrase the inputs. Follow the hints under each field ("We help ___", "do you find that ___?") and the drafts read naturally; then edit them, because a draft no one rewrote reads like one.

What is the best cold email structure?

There isn't one best structure, but the ones that last share a shape: relevance first, one problem, one outcome, one low-effort ask. Problem-agitate-solve and before-after-bridge are classic copywriting frameworks; trigger-led and quick-question emails are cold-outreach staples because they're about the reader rather than the sender.

Proof belongs in the email only when it's true and specific: one customer, one before and after, with permission to name them. If you don't have that yet, leave the field empty and the proof-led framework is skipped rather than padded.

Who uses this tool, and for what?

Founders
Get a first draft for founder-led outreach in a minute, without a chatbot inventing your traction.
SDRs and sales teams
Try the same offer in three frameworks and A/B test the openers that read best.
Agencies
Draft a client's first touch from a short brief, with merge fields left in for the sequencer.
Freelancers
Write a short pitch to a prospective client that leads with a specific reason, not a portfolio dump.

What can’t this tool tell you?

  • It's templates, not AI: it won't research the prospect or personalise beyond what you type.
  • Grammar depends on your phrasing; follow the field hints, then edit.
  • It can't tell whether an email will land in the inbox; that depends on authentication, sending volume and the list.
  • Legal rules for cold email differ by country; the drafts don't add an opt-out line or address for you.

Common questions

What is a cold email generator?
A tool that turns details about your offer and prospect into a draft cold email. Some use AI; this one fills proven templates with your own words, so nothing in the draft is invented.
How long should a cold email be?
Roughly 50 to 125 words: short enough to read on a phone without scrolling. Each draft above shows its word count.
How to structure a cold email?
Open with why you're writing to this person now, name one problem they likely have, say in one sentence what you do about it, and end with a question they can answer in a few words.
How to write a good cold email?
Make it about the reader: a specific, checkable reason for writing, one problem, one outcome, and a small ask. Cut adjectives and anything you can't back up, and send it to a verified address so it arrives.
Is cold emailing illegal?
Not in the US, where CAN-SPAM allows it with an honest subject line, a physical address and a working opt-out. The UK, EU, Canada and Australia set stricter rules, especially for emails to individuals; our guides cover GDPR, PECR, CASL and the Spam Act.
Does cold emailing still work?
It works when the email is relevant to the person and actually arrives. Relevance comes from a real reason for writing; arrival depends on authentication and on a list with few bounces.

Authentication and capacity are half of deliverability.

The other half is who you send to. Every hard bounce counts against the domain and inboxes you are sending from, and nothing in DNS can tell you which addresses on your list are dead.

  • Bulk verification with real SMTP mailbox checks
  • Hard bounces removed before a send, not discovered after
  • Catch-all, disposable and role detection on every row
