What Does It Cost to Verify 1 Million Emails? Prices, Files and Weeks

··4 min read

Verifying 1,000,000 email addresses once costs between $449 and $3,199 at the vendors whose prices we record, read between 12 October and 3 November 2026. SimpleVerifier doesn't sell a million pack: four one-time 250,000 packs are $676 and never expire, and Agency is $249 a month with the first 750,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. At this size, though, price is the easy part. Time, file handling and whether the list deserves a million checks matter more.

Published one-off prices for 1,000,000

Each figure is the vendor's own price for a million pay-as-you-go credits, as recorded on our comparison pages with the date checked. Prices change; check before you buy.

Source pages are linked from each comparison page, for example MillionVerifier and ZeroBounce. The pricing index covers more vendors and sizes, and the same question at a quarter of the size is in what it costs to verify 250,000 emails.

Pack or plan

  1. One pass, no rush. Four 250,000 packs ($676). They never expire and run at standard speed.
  2. A million now and regular large lists after. Agency, $249 a month with the first 750,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. Big lists on Business and Agency go ahead of other big lists in the shared queue, within the month's full-speed volume, and Agency has 15 seats.
  3. Smaller monthly volume. Business is $99 a month with the first 300,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. A million still finishes on it; most of it runs in the slower lane.

Cut the list before you pay for it

A million-row list is almost always a merge of several sources, and each cleanup step saves real money:

  1. Sample first. Pull 1,000 random rows with the email list sampler and verify those. The result tells you whether the whole list is worth checking.
  2. Dedupe across all sources with the duplicate email remover.
  3. Subtract suppressions: unsubscribes, past hard bounces and complaints, with compare email lists.
  4. Drop broken rows with the bulk email syntax checker.
  5. Split into ten files of 100,000 or fewer with the email list splitter, which keeps the header on each part.

How long it takes

A verifier that waits for real answers from mail servers is slow at scale: servers throttle, greylist and time out. How long bulk verification takes explains the mechanics. Our lists run at about 30 addresses a minute averaged over a day, up to about 60 while the day's capacity lasts, on capacity shared by all customers. For a million, that's roughly 12 to 23 days. Verify the newest or most valuable file first and start sending its valid part while the rest runs. If the whole list must be back this week, choose a vendor that publishes faster throughput.

Limits

No verifier can promise a bounce rate. A million addresses will include catch-all domains that accept every address at the check, so expect a sizeable risky bucket; see send to catch-all emails?. A list this big often has a consent problem a verifier can't fix: an address that exists isn't one that agreed to hear from you. And results age; re-check any file you haven't sent within a few weeks.

Where SimpleVerifier fits

Upload each file at /verify and get valid, risky (with the reason) and invalid files back with your other columns kept. The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in, which is enough for a first sample. Packs of 250,000 checks are $169 each and never expire; Agency is $249 a month with the first 750,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. See pricing.

Common questions

How much does it cost to verify 1 million emails?

On the vendors' own pages as recorded on our comparison pages (12 October to 3 November 2026): MillionVerifier $449, Bouncify $599, MailboxValidator $699.95, Truelist $700, DeBounce $750, Reoon $972, Clearout $1,400, Bouncer and MailerCheck $2,000, Emailable $2,100, NeverBounce $2,500, Kickbox $2,999 and ZeroBounce $3,199.

What does SimpleVerifier charge for 1 million emails?

There's no single million pack. Four one-time 250,000 packs cost $676 and never expire. Agency is $249 a month with the first 750,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off, so a million in one month finishes, with the last 250,000 in the slower lane.

How long does it take to verify 1 million emails?

On SimpleVerifier's shared capacity, lists average about 30 addresses a minute over a day, up to about 60 while the day's capacity lasts. That's roughly 12 to 23 days for a million, plus retries.

Should I verify a million emails at all?

First sample it. Verify a random 100 to 1,000 rows; if most are invalid or the list's origin is unclear, the cheaper move may be not to mail it.

Check your list before you send

Real mailbox checks over SMTP, and nothing is sent to the address. Sign in with Google and your first 100 email checks are free, no card. Plans for bigger lists are on the pricing page.
