What Does It Cost to Verify 250,000 Emails? Prices, Files and Time
Verifying 250,000 email addresses once costs between $225 and $1,299 at the vendors whose pricing pages we read between 30 October and 3 November 2026. SimpleVerifier's one-time pack of 250,000 checks is $169 and never expires. At this size the price gap between vendors is hundreds of dollars, but the bigger practical question is time: a careful verifier needs days, not minutes, for a quarter of a million addresses.

DeBounce and MillionVerifier list no 250,000 tier. Their 500,000 tiers were $450 and $299, so for those two the next tier up can cost less than two smaller packs. The source page for each vendor is linked from its comparison page, for example Bouncer and Kickbox; the wider picture is in the pricing index.
Pack or monthly plan
- One pass. The pack. It never expires and runs at standard speed.
- 250,000 now, more soon. Business is $99 a month with the first 300,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. Its lists go ahead of the shared queue, and it has 5 seats if a team works the list.
- A big list once, a small one monthly. Pro is $39 a month with the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. A 250,000 list on Pro still finishes; the part past 100,000 runs in the slower lane.

Prepare the file
At 250,000 rows, small cleanups are worth thousands of checks:
- Dedupe across sources. Big lists are usually merges. Run the duplicate email remover on the combined file, not on each source.
- Subtract suppressions. Unsubscribes, past hard bounces and complaints: compare email lists.
- Drop broken rows with the bulk email syntax checker.
- Split into files of 100,000 or fewer. Our upload takes up to 100,000 rows per file. The email list splitter cuts a CSV into equal parts and keeps the header on each.
- Sample first. Verify a random 100 to see how bad the list is before you buy anything; the email list sampler pulls one.
How long it takes
Mail servers throttle, greylist and time out, and a verifier that waits for real answers is slower than one that guesses. How long bulk verification takes explains the mechanics. Our lists run at about 30 addresses a minute averaged over a day, up to about 60 while the day's capacity lasts, on capacity shared by all customers. For 250,000 that's roughly three to six days, plus retries. If the list must be back tomorrow, choose a vendor that publishes higher throughput.
Plan the send around that: verify the oldest or riskiest file first, start sending the valid part of it, and verify the rest while the first wave goes out.
Limits
No verifier can promise a bounce rate. A list this size will have catch-all domains that accept every address at the check, so expect a risky bucket; see send to catch-all emails?. Addresses verified now age while you send, so re-check any file you haven't sent within a few weeks.
Where SimpleVerifier fits
Upload each file at /verify and you get valid, risky (with the reason) and invalid files back, with your other columns kept. The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in. A one-time pack of 250,000 checks is $169 and never expires. Pro is $39 a month with the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off; Business is $99 with the first 300,000. See pricing.
Common questions
How much does it cost to verify 250,000 emails?
On the vendors' own pages checked between 30 October and 3 November 2026: Truelist $225, NeverBounce, Bouncer, Emailable and Clearout $750 each, Kickbox $1,100 and ZeroBounce $1,299 for a one-off 250,000. SimpleVerifier's one-time pack of 250,000 checks is $169.
Is a subscription cheaper than a pack for 250,000?
Only if you verify again. SimpleVerifier Business is $99 a month with the first 300,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off, and its lists go ahead of the shared queue. For a single pass, the $169 pack is the simpler buy.
How long does it take to verify 250,000 emails?
On SimpleVerifier's shared capacity, lists average about 30 addresses a minute over a day, up to about 60 while the day's capacity lasts. That makes 250,000 roughly three to six days. Vendors that publish faster throughput are a better fit if you need it sooner.
Can I upload 250,000 rows at once?
Not in one file on SimpleVerifier: CSV uploads take up to 100,000 rows each. Split the list into three files and upload them one after another.
