Is ZeroBounce Worth It? Prices, Fine Print and Who It Suits (November 2026)
ZeroBounce is worth it if you will use more than the verifier. On its own pages as of 2 November 2026, the smallest pay-as-you-go pack is 2,000 checks for $39 and the ZeroBounce ONE subscription starts at $99 a month for 10,000 credits. That buys a broad deliverability suite: inbox placement tests, blacklist monitoring, an email server test, an email finder and activity data. If all you need is to clean lists before you send, its per-address price is at the high end of the market, and the guarantee does not cover most cold-email lists. Then a cheaper verifier usually gets you the same job for less.
Every number below comes from ZeroBounce's pricing page and guarantee terms, with the date we read them. Prices change, so check the live page before you buy. We make a competing product, so we have kept to what ZeroBounce publishes and left out any claims about accuracy.
What it costs, per 1,000
ZeroBounce sells two ways: one-time credit packs and a monthly subscription. The full ladder below was read on 30 October 2026; the $39 minimum pack and the $99 entry subscription were re-read and unchanged on 2 November.
| Volume | Pay-as-you-go pack | Per 1,000 | ZeroBounce ONE (monthly) | Per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2,000 | $39 | $19.50 | ||
| 5,000 | $69 | $13.80 | ||
| 10,000 | $129 | $12.90 | $99 | $9.90 |
| 25,000 | $274 | $10.96 | $199 | $7.96 |
| 50,000 | $499 | $9.98 | $379 | $7.58 |
| 100,000 | $649 | $6.49 | $449 | $4.49 |
| 1,000,000 | $3,199 | $3.20 | $2,499 | $2.50 |
Two things stand out:
- Small buyers pay the most. If you verify 1,000 to 5,000 addresses at a time, you pay $13.80 to $19.50 per 1,000. That is the segment where the price gap with other verifiers is widest.
- The subscription only pays off if you use it every month. ZeroBounce ONE is cheaper per credit than the packs, and unused subscription credits roll over. But $99 a month is a lot if you clean a list once a quarter.
For the same sizes at other vendors, our email verification pricing index lists each vendor's published price with the read date, and the verification cost calculator prices your own list.
What you get for the money
ZeroBounce's pitch is breadth. The free plan on its pricing page lists 100 validations a month, one inbox test, one email server test, one blacklist monitor scanned every 24 hours and 10 email finder credits. Paid accounts scale those up. ZeroBounce ONE adds activity data, which is ZeroBounce's own signal about whether an address has shown recent activity. AI scoring is sold separately at one credit per scored address.
| Feature | In ZeroBounce | Do you need it? |
|---|---|---|
| Bulk and API verification | Yes | Yes, this is the core job |
| Unknown results not charged | Yes, per its FAQ | Yes, this matters on business lists |
| Inbox placement testing | Yes | Useful if you send newsletters or high volume |
| Blacklist monitoring | Yes | Free tools do a one-off check |
| Email server test | Yes | Mostly a one-time setup check |
| Email finder | Yes | Only if you build lists from names |
| Activity data | ZeroBounce ONE | Mainly for B2C and older lists |
| AI scoring | One credit per address | Mainly for catch-all heavy lists |
If you would otherwise pay for a separate inbox placement tool and a blacklist monitor, the bundle can be good value. If you would not, you are paying for features you will not open.
The fine print worth reading
Credit expiry
ZeroBounce's pricing FAQ says "credits never expire while you have an active ZeroBounce One subscription". Without a subscription, it says expiration rules may apply depending on when your account was created or when the credits were purchased. If you plan to buy a pack and use it over a year, ask support for your account's terms in writing. Our credit expiry comparison puts ZeroBounce's wording next to 14 other verifiers.
What is and is not charged
ZeroBounce says it will never charge for "unknown" results, and duplicates removed from a file are free. That is a buyer-friendly policy, and worth checking for at any vendor you compare. See email verification credits explained for how vendors differ here.
The guarantee
ZeroBounce publishes an accuracy guarantee. Its terms say the list "must be an opt-in list that you collected and not purchased from a 3rd party", that you must send within 72 hours, that only the valid file counts, and that you must supply the full mailing export with the actual SMTP codes. The payout is 5% of the validation cost for each 1% below its threshold. A list exported from a lead database or scraped from the web does not qualify. Our bounce guarantee comparison sets these terms beside MillionVerifier, NeverBounce and Emailable.
When ZeroBounce is worth it
- You want one vendor for verification and monitoring. Inbox tests, blacklist checks and verification in a single login, with one bill.
- You send to opted-in subscribers. The guarantee is written for opt-in lists, and activity data is most useful on consumer lists.
- You verify a steady volume every month and the subscription's rollover means nothing is wasted.
- Your company already approved it. A vendor that has passed procurement is worth something on its own.
When it probably is not
- You only clean lists. If you do not need the suite, you are paying for it anyway in the per-address price.
- You buy small. At 2,000 to 10,000 checks, the gap with lower-priced verifiers is widest.
- You re-verify the same list often. Credits are the unit, so every pass costs full price again. Cold-email lists decay, so you should be re-checking older leads, and per-credit pricing makes that expensive. Our how often to verify guide covers the timing.
- You send cold email and want a guarantee. The opt-in condition rules most cold lists out.
How to decide in 20 minutes
- Price your real volume, not the headline. Take a typical month and work out what you would pay on packs and on ZeroBounce ONE.
- List the features you would actually use from the table above. If it is only verification, compare on verification price.
- Test on your own list. ZeroBounce's free plan gives 100 validations a month. Run the same sample through two or three verifiers and compare how many addresses each one marks safe to send, risky and invalid. Our bench test guide shows how to do that fairly.
- Read the terms you depend on. Expiry, refunds and the guarantee all have conditions.

Where SimpleVerifier fits
SimpleVerifier does one job: it runs a live mailbox check on each address and returns safe to send, send with care, check again later or do not send, with the reason. Catch-alls stay risky, never guessed valid. There is no inbox placement suite, so if you need that, ZeroBounce has it and we do not.
On price, Starter is $9 a month for 2,500 emails, and Pro is $39 a month with the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. Pro adds the API, email finder and enrichment. If you would rather not subscribe, one-time packs start at 10,000 checks for $15 and never expire. We offer no bounce guarantee, and fees are non-refundable once charged, so the first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in on the verify page. See pricing.
Common questions
Is ZeroBounce worth the money?
It depends on what you use. If you want verification plus inbox placement tests, blacklist monitoring and activity data in one account, ZeroBounce bundles all of those. If you only need to clean lists, its published per-address prices are higher than many verifiers, so the same volume usually costs less elsewhere.
How much does ZeroBounce cost?
On its pricing page on 2 November 2026, pay-as-you-go starts at $39 for 2,000 checks and ZeroBounce ONE starts at $99 a month for 10,000 credits. On 30 October 2026 the packs ran up to $649 for 100,000 and $3,199 for 1,000,000. There is also a free plan with 100 validations a month.
Do ZeroBounce credits expire?
ZeroBounce says credits never expire while you have an active ZeroBounce ONE subscription. Without one, its page says expiration rules may apply depending on when your account was created or when the credits were purchased.
Does ZeroBounce charge for unknown results?
No. Its pricing FAQ says it will never charge for 'unknown' results, and duplicates removed from a file are not charged either.
Does the ZeroBounce guarantee cover cold email lists?
Usually not. ZeroBounce's guarantee terms say the list must be an opt-in list you collected and did not buy from a third party. A scraped, exported or purchased prospect list does not meet that condition.
