Which Email Verifiers' Credits Expire? 15 Verifiers Compared (November 2026)

··6 min read

Whether verification credits expire depends on the vendor and on the plan type. On the vendors' own pages as of 2 November 2026: pay-as-you-go packs never expire at Bouncer, DeBounce, Clearout, Emailable, MillionVerifier, MailerCheck, Bouncify, QuickEmailVerification and Reoon. NeverBounce and Kickbox packs expire after a year. MailboxValidator's bulk plans carry 30-day validity. Monthly allowances at Hunter and Snov.io reset or expire each month. ZeroBounce sits in between: credits never expire while you keep its subscription. The table below links each vendor's page and the date we read it.

The table

Read from each vendor's own page on the date shown. Terms change, so check the live page before you rely on one.

Notes on the reading:

  • NeverBounce blocked our automated fetch on 2 November, so its row is from our 30 October read. Our NeverBounce pricing page has its full pack table.
  • Kickbox's one-year expiry is in its terms of service, not on the pricing page. See our Kickbox pricing page.
  • ZeroBounce's wording without a subscription is open-ended: "expiration rules may apply depending on when your account was created, or when the credits were purchased, granted", and it lists further cases. If that matters to you, ask support for your account's terms in writing.
  • A blank cell means the page we read did not say, not that the answer is no.

Email finders that also verify

If you verify inside a finder or prospecting tool, the credits usually cover both, and the rules are set by the finder plan. On their own pages, read 2 November 2026:

Tool What its plan page says Source
Icypeas "Credits roll over" on its monthly plans Pricing
Enrichley "API access and credit rollover are included on every plan"; annual plans grant all 12 months of credits up front Pricing
Skrapp "Credits Roll Over" on paid plans Pricing
Hunter "Credits reset monthly and don't roll over" Pricing
Snov.io "Unused credits expire every 30 days", with rollover on annual plans or with plan renewal on Pricing

Rollover is not the same as never expiring. A rollover credit may still lapse when you cancel or after a cap, so ask what happens to the balance if you stop paying.

Why expiry changes the real price

The per-1,000 price on a pricing page assumes you use every credit. If some expire, the price you actually paid per address goes up.

An illustration with made-up round numbers:

Scenario Pack bought Paid Used before expiry Real price per 1,000 used
Use it all 50,000 $250 50,000 $5.00
Campaign slips 50,000 $250 30,000 $8.33
Half lapses 50,000 $250 25,000 $10.00
Buy what you need 25,000 $150 25,000 $6.00

The discount for buying big only pays if you use the credits in time. With a 12-month expiry, buy for the volume you are confident you will verify in that year, not for the best per-1,000 rate on the page.

With monthly allowances the effect is sharper. A plan that resets every 30 days charges you for the full allowance whether you verify 10% of it or all of it. That suits steady volume and punishes lumpy volume.

Which model suits which buyer

Your pattern Best fit Why
One list now, maybe another in six months Pay-as-you-go that never expires You pay once, and leftovers stay useful
Several lists a year, sizes vary Never-expire packs, sized to the next list No penalty for gaps between campaigns
Similar volume every month Monthly plan Usually cheaper per address than packs
Large, steady volume Flat monthly plan with fair use Per-address cost falls as you verify more
Agency with client spikes Never-expire packs or a plan without a hard cap Spikes do not force an upgrade

If you are comparing on price as well as expiry, our email verification pricing index has the cost of the same volume at each vendor, and the verification cost calculator prices your own list.

Four questions to ask before you buy

  1. Do credits expire, and when? From purchase, from the last login, or at the end of a billing period?
  2. What happens if I cancel? Some vendors keep credits after cancellation, some forfeit them, and ZeroBounce ties its never-expire promise to the subscription.
  3. Are unknown, duplicate and catch-all results charged? A credit that is used up on a duplicate is as gone as one that expired. See email verification credits explained.
  4. Do the API and the bulk uploader draw on the same credits? MailboxValidator, for example, sells separate bulk and API plans.

Where SimpleVerifier fits

SimpleVerifier sells both models. One-time packs never expire: 10,000 checks for $15, 25,000 for $29, 50,000 for $49, 100,000 for $79 and 250,000 for $169, one credit per unique email, with duplicates and addresses we cannot check not charged. Packs are CSV verification only, at standard speed. Monthly plans start at Starter, $9 a month for 2,500 emails (resets monthly, no rollover), and Pro at $39 a month, which runs the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. Pro adds the API, email finder and enrichment. See pricing and pay-as-you-go email verification.

The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in on the verify page, so you can see how your list splits before choosing either.

Common questions

Which email verifiers have credits that never expire?

On their own pricing pages on 2 November 2026, Bouncer, DeBounce, Clearout, Emailable, MillionVerifier, MailerCheck, Bouncify (pay-as-you-go), QuickEmailVerification (persistent credits) and Reoon (instant credits) said their purchased credits never expire. SimpleVerifier's one-time packs also never expire.

Do NeverBounce credits expire?

Yes. NeverBounce's pay-as-you-go credits expire 12 months after purchase, according to its pricing page as we read it on 30 October 2026. Its site blocked our automated fetch on 2 November, so check the live page before you buy.

Do ZeroBounce credits expire?

ZeroBounce's pricing FAQ says credits never expire while you have an active ZeroBounce ONE subscription. Without one, it says expiration rules may apply depending on when your account was created or when the credits were purchased or granted.

Do monthly plan credits roll over?

It depends on the vendor. Clearout says unused subscription credits roll over and never expire, and Bouncer and Emailable say the same of their subscriptions. Hunter says credits reset monthly and do not roll over. Snov.io says unused credits expire every 30 days unless you are on an annual plan or have plan renewal enabled. SimpleVerifier's Starter allowance resets monthly and does not roll over.

Is a never-expire pack always better than a subscription?

No. A pack that never expires is better for irregular or one-off cleaning. If you verify a similar volume every month, a subscription is often cheaper per address, even if unused credits reset.
