How Much Does It Cost to Verify 1,000 Emails? The Cheapest Ways in 2026

··6 min read

Verifying 1,000 emails costs between nothing and about $40 on published pricing, and the biggest factor is each vendor's minimum purchase, not its per-1,000 rate. Several verifiers sell a 1,000-credit pack for $8 to $10. Others start at 2,000, 5,000 or 10,000 credits, so a 1,000-row list costs $15 to $39 there. Free allowances cover 100 to a few hundred addresses per vendor. For a one-off 1,000, a small pack that never expires is usually cheapest. For around 1,000 to 2,500 every month, a small monthly plan often wins.

Two things the table does not show:

  • What is left over. A $11.90 Reoon pack or a $39 MillionVerifier pack buys 10,000 credits. If those credits never expire (both say they do not) and you will verify again, the leftovers have value.
  • Whether unknowns and duplicates are charged. On a 1,000-row list, that can change the real cost more than the headline price. See email verification credits explained.

Free allowances

What vendors offered new accounts on their own pages, read 2 November 2026:

Vendor Free allowance
Reoon Up to 600 free verifications a month, plus 100 instant credits at sign-up
Emailable 250 free credits for every new account
Hunter 50 credits a month, with a verification costing 0.5 credit (about 100 verifications)
Kickbox 100 free verifications
Clearout 100 free credits
DeBounce 100 free credits
Bouncify 100 free credits
SimpleVerifier 100 free checks with a Google sign-in, once per account; plus single checks on the free email checker, five a minute, no account

So 1,000 addresses for free is possible on paper: a month of Reoon's free tier, or a few vendors' sign-up allowances combined. Before you do that, consider:

  • Your data ends up in several places. Each tool keeps your file for a while. Our security page lists where data goes and how long it is kept.
  • Results are not comparable. Different tools label catch-alls and unknowns differently, so a merged file is hard to act on. See why two verifiers disagree.
  • The saving is a few dollars. At $8 to $10 for 1,000, the paid route is cheap.

Free tiers are best used for what they are for: testing a tool on a sample of your real list before you buy. Our best free email verifier and verify an email list for free posts cover them in more detail.

One-off 1,000 vs 1,000 every month

Your pattern Cheapest sensible route Approx. cost
One list of 1,000, nothing planned after A 1,000-credit pack that never expires $8 to $10
1,000 now, more lists later in the year A larger never-expire pack (10,000 for $11.90 to $15 at the cheaper vendors) $12 to $15, with credits left
About 1,000 to 2,500 every month A small monthly plan From $9 a month
1,000 a month that may grow fast A plan without a hard monthly cap From $39 a month

At 1,000 a month, a $9 plan costs $108 a year. Buying a $8 pack every month costs $96. The two are close, so choose on what else you need: monthly allowances suit a steady flow, and packs suit gaps between campaigns.

What matters more than price at 1,000

On a small list, every bounce is a bigger share. Look at:

  • Catch-all handling. Does the tool call accept-all addresses valid, or keep them risky? On a B2B list, this decides how many of your "valid" rows really are. See catch-all email verifiers compared.
  • A reason on every row, so you can decide what to do with risky ones.
  • Whether unknowns are re-tried or refunded. Greylisted servers often answer on a second try. See why the same email gets a different result.

Before you pay for a small list

  1. Deduplicate first with remove duplicate emails. Most tools do not charge duplicates, but some do, and a clean file is easier to read.
  2. Fix obvious typos such as gmial.com with the email typo corrector, so you do not pay to learn they are invalid.
  3. Run a free sample of 100 rows through the tool you plan to buy, and look at how it labels catch-alls and unknowns.
  4. Check the pack terms: expiry, minimum purchase and whether unknowns are refunded. See which verifiers' credits expire.

Where SimpleVerifier fits

For a 1,000-row list, SimpleVerifier's options are:

  • 100 free checks with a Google sign-in on the verify page, to test on your own list.
  • Starter at $9 a month for 2,500 emails ($3.60 per 1,000 when you use them all). Email checks only, no API or finder. Cancel anytime. The allowance resets monthly and does not roll over.
  • A one-time pack of 10,000 checks for $15, which never expires. One credit per unique email; duplicates and addresses we cannot check are not charged.

If you will verify exactly 1,000 once and never again, a vendor with an $8 1,000-credit pack is cheaper than us, and we would rather say so. If you verify a small list every month, or want catch-alls kept risky instead of guessed valid, Starter is built for that. Fees are non-refundable once charged, so use the free checks first. Compare the numbers for your own volume with the verification cost calculator, see pricing, or read verify 100,000 emails: cost for the other end of the scale.

Common questions

How much does it cost to verify 1,000 emails?

On published pricing read between 12 October and 2 November 2026, the cheapest 1,000-credit packs were around $8 to $10 at vendors such as Bouncer, NeverBounce, QuickEmailVerification, Kickbox and MailerCheck. Vendors with larger minimum purchases cost more for exactly 1,000: ZeroBounce's smallest pack was 2,000 credits for $39 and MillionVerifier's 10,000 for $39.

Can I verify 1,000 emails for free?

Partly. Most vendors give a free allowance of 100 to a few hundred checks, and Reoon advertises up to 600 free verifications a month. Covering a full 1,000 for free means waiting or using several tools, and every tool you upload the list to keeps a copy for a while.

What is SimpleVerifier's cheapest option for 1,000 emails?

The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in. After that, Starter is $9 a month for 2,500 emails, and you can cancel anytime. Our smallest one-time pack is 10,000 checks for $15, which never expires. For a single 1,000 with no plans to verify again, a vendor with a $8 1,000-credit pack is cheaper than us.

Is it worth paying to verify a 1,000-email list?

Usually yes, if you will cold email it. On an unverified list, even a modest share of invalid addresses produces bounces your sending platform and mailbox providers notice. The cost of a few dollars is small next to a damaged sending domain.

Do credits from a small pack expire?

At many vendors, no: Bouncer, DeBounce, Clearout, Emailable, MillionVerifier and others say their pay-as-you-go credits never expire. NeverBounce and Kickbox packs expire after a year. Our credit expiry comparison has the sourced list.
