Best Email Verification Tools in 2026, Compared on Real Pricing

··7 min read

The best email verification tool depends on your volume and how often you clean. On prices read from vendors' own pricing pages on 1 October 2026, Reoon and DeBounce were cheapest for lists under 100,000, MillionVerifier was cheapest from 500,000 up, and ZeroBounce and Kickbox charged more but sell deliverability tooling alongside verification.

Most "best verifier" lists rank tools on screenshots and copy prices from each other. Prices drift. One ranking published by an outreach vendor and updated on 24 September 2026 quotes MillionVerifier at $37 for 10,000; MillionVerifier's own page showed $39 when we checked. That gap is small, but it tells you the number was not re-read. Every price below was read from the vendor's page on the same day, and the raw figures are kept with the method.

How we compared them

We judged each tool on things a buyer can check, not on claims. The criteria:

  1. Published price for 10,000 and 100,000 addresses, as a one-off purchase.
  2. Credit rules: whether credits expire and what you are not charged for.
  3. What the result tells you: whether the tool has an explicit unknown or risky state rather than forcing everything into valid or invalid.
  4. Limits that bite: file size, rows per file, API rate limits where documented.
  5. Who it suits, based on what the product actually bundles.

We did not score accuracy. No vendor publishes an audited accuracy figure, and the honest test is one you run yourself (see how to tell if your email verifier is lying).

The price table

All figures are US dollars, as of October 2026, for the smallest pay-as-you-go package that covers the volume. Where a vendor sells only fixed packages, a 5,000 list costs whatever the smallest package costs.

Tool 10,000 addresses 100,000 addresses Credits expire? Pricing page
Reoon $11.90 $116.40 No reoon.com
DeBounce $25 $135 No debounce.com
EmailListVerify $27 $186 No (PAYG) emaillistverify.com
MillionVerifier $39 $149 No millionverifier.com
Verifalia $49.90 $389 No (packs) verifalia.com
Bouncer $60 $400 No usebouncer.com
Emailable $60 $420 No emailable.com
Kickbox $70 $500 Not stated on page kickbox.com
ZeroBounce $129 $649 Pay-as-you-go: see note zerobounce.net

Two vendors are missing from the table on purpose. NeverBounce's pricing page refused our requests on the day (HTTP 403), and Clearout's page did not show prices in its text, so we have no figure we can stand behind for either. Our earlier check on 1 September 2026 recorded NeverBounce from $50 a month and Clearout from $49 a month; treat those as dated.

ZeroBounce's FAQ says credits never expire while you hold an active ZeroBounce ONE subscription; its Freemium tier also describes credits that do not expire. If the expiry rule matters to you, read their current terms directly.

The spread is large. At 10,000 addresses the most expensive option costs more than ten times the cheapest. At 100,000 the gap narrows to roughly five and a half times.

What changes at higher volumes

Volume discounts are not uniform, so the cheapest tool at 10,000 is not the cheapest at a million.

Tool 500,000 1,000,000
MillionVerifier $299 $449
DeBounce $450 $750
Reoon $522 $960
Verifalia $990 $1,490
Bouncer $1,250 $2,000
Emailable $1,350 $2,100
Kickbox $1,800 $2,999
ZeroBounce $2,199 $3,199

MillionVerifier's 500,000 package costs less than Reoon's, even though Reoon is about a third of the price at 10,000. If you clean large files, rank tools on your actual volume, not on the headline "from" price. We go further into this in verifying a million-row list.

The tools, one by one

Reoon: cheapest for small and mid-sized lists

Reoon sells instant credits that never expire, starting at $11.90 for 10,000, plus a daily-credit plan from $9 a month for 500 credits a day. Its page states that unknown results are never charged. It offers a fast "Quick" mode for signup forms and a slower "Power" mode for lists. It suits solo operators and small teams who want the lowest bill and do not need a deliverability suite.

DeBounce: low cost, simple pay-as-you-go

DeBounce's tiers start at 5,000 for $15 and fall to $135 for 100,000. Credits never expire. Bulk files are capped at 200,000 emails and 20MB per file according to its help centre, so bigger lists need splitting. It suits teams who clean occasionally and want no subscription.

EmailListVerify: cheap, with a subscription option

EmailListVerify publishes both pay-as-you-go packs (10,000 for $27) and monthly plans (5,000 a month for $16, 100,000 a month for $168). Pay-as-you-go stops at 100,000 on the public page. It suits small senders with a steady monthly volume.

MillionVerifier: cheapest at scale

MillionVerifier's packages climb slowly: $149 for 100,000, $449 for a million. It states a refund for results it cannot verify with certainty, which matters if your list is heavy in catch-all domains. Its help centre puts default speed at 3,000 emails a minute and a million emails at roughly six hours, with a 1 million email and 100MB cap per file. It suits anyone cleaning hundreds of thousands of addresses.

Verifalia: control over how hard it tries

Verifalia is the only tool here that lets you choose verification depth: Standard (one pass, 1 credit), High (three passes, 2 credits) and Extreme (nine passes, 4 credits), with longer waits for greylisting at each step. Its free plan gives 25 checks a day. It suits teams with slow or greylisting mail servers in their lists who will pay more for fewer unknowns.

Bouncer: European option with fair billing rules

Bouncer states it does not charge for duplicates or unknown results, and its credits never expire. Its API is documented as limited to 1,000 real-time requests a minute by default and batches of up to 100,000 emails. It suits EU-based teams who want clear billing rules.

Emailable: developer-friendly API

Emailable's pricing is mid-range, with 250 free credits on signup, the largest one-off signup allowance among these (Reoon and Verifalia instead give a small daily allowance). Its API documentation lists 25 verify requests a second on standard accounts and batches of up to 50,000. It suits product teams verifying at signup.

Kickbox: established, priced like it

Kickbox costs $70 for 10,000 and $2,999 for a million. Its API returns a Sendex quality score between 0 and 1 alongside the result. It suits teams who also want Kickbox's deliverability consulting.

ZeroBounce: the most expensive, and the broadest suite

ZeroBounce's minimum pay-as-you-go purchase is $39 for 2,000, and its ONE subscription starts at $99 a month. It returns more statuses than most (including spamtrap, abuse and do_not_mail) and bundles warm-up, inbox placement tests and DMARC monitoring. It suits teams that want verification and deliverability tooling from one vendor and will pay for it.

How to choose in practice

Ask three questions, in this order.

  1. How many addresses, how often? A one-off clean favours pay-as-you-go credits that never expire. A list you re-check monthly can make a subscription cheaper. Our verification cost calculator does this maths for your numbers.
  2. What happens to the hard cases? Upload a small test file with a fabricated Gmail address, your own real address, and an address at a known catch-all domain. A tool that calls the first one valid is guessing.
  3. What else do you need? If you want inbox placement tests or monitoring, ZeroBounce, Kickbox and Bouncer sell them. If you only need clean lists, you are paying for features you will not use.

Disclosure — our product

SimpleVerifier, which publishes this blog, is an email verifier priced at $29.99 a month flat with no credits; throughput is 45 addresses per minute and CSVs can be up to 100,000 rows. It is cheaper than the per-credit tools above only if you verify more than about 25,000 addresses a month, and slower than most of them on a single large file. Our side-by-side pages are at /compare.

The takeaway

Re-read the pricing page on the day you buy, price your real volume rather than the "from" figure, and test any tool with addresses whose answers you already know. On October 2026 prices, the cheapest tool at 100,000 addresses was not the cheapest at 500,000.

Common questions

What is the best email verification tool?

There is no single best tool, because price and behaviour depend on volume and how often you clean. On published prices in October 2026, Reoon and DeBounce are cheapest for lists under 100,000, MillionVerifier is cheapest at 500,000 and above, and ZeroBounce and Kickbox cost more but bundle deliverability tooling and longer track records.

How much does it cost to verify 10,000 email addresses?

On vendors' own pricing pages checked on 1 October 2026, a one-off 10,000 ranged from $11.90 at Reoon to $129 at ZeroBounce. Most sat between $25 and $70. Those are pay-as-you-go prices for a single pass; recurring cleans multiply them.

Are email verifier accuracy claims reliable?

Treat them as marketing. Accuracy percentages are set by the vendor, rarely define what was measured, and are not independently audited. A short test file of addresses whose answers you already know tells you more than any headline number.

Do email verification credits expire?

It depends on the vendor. MillionVerifier, DeBounce, Reoon, Bouncer, Emailable and EmailListVerify all state on their pricing pages that pay-as-you-go credits never expire. Subscription allowances are a different matter, so read the plan terms before committing.
