lemlist Email Finder Results: What Deliverable, Risky and Unknown Mean Before You Send
In lemlist's Email Finder, send Deliverable results, hold Risky ones for a separate campaign, and drop Undeliverable and Unknown until re-checked. lemlist charges for both deliverable and risky results, so an enriched list often carries a lot of Accept All (catch-all) addresses, which are the ones most likely to bounce. Split them out, re-verify any list that's more than a few days old before launch, and keep hard bounces under 2% per campaign.
What lemlist's help center says
From Lead enrichment in lemlist: options, credits and statuses, read 8 November 2026:
- The Email Finder & Verifier costs "5 credits per lead", charged "only for deliverable or risky emails found".
- It returns four statuses: Deliverable, Risky, Undeliverable and Unknown.
- A risky email "may result in bounce or low engagement". Common subtypes: Accept All, Full Mailbox, Disposable.
- Generic prefixes such as admin@, info@, contact@, sales@ and noreply@ are "often classified as undeliverable due to their high likelihood of bounces".
- Lusha is built into the enrichment waterfall for paying users, and teams can connect their own Lusha or Apollo accounts.
lemlist's credits article explains how plan credits and top-ups work.
What each status means for your campaign
| lemlist status | What it means | Campaign |
|---|---|---|
| Deliverable | The mailbox was confirmed | Main campaign |
| Risky: Accept All | The domain accepts every address; mailbox not confirmed | Separate, smaller campaign |
| Risky: Full Mailbox | Exists but can't take mail now | Drop or retry much later |
| Risky: Disposable | Temporary address | Drop |
| Undeliverable | Mailbox or domain doesn't exist | Drop and block |
| Unknown | No clear answer | Re-check before sending |
You're charged for Risky results, so it's tempting to send them. Don't put them in the main campaign. One accept-all segment from a big company domain can push a campaign over the bounce line on its own.
The routine for big lemlist lists
1. Export and split by status
Export the campaign's leads with the email and status columns. The lemlist leads to email list tool pulls a clean email column. Filter the CSV into Deliverable, Accept All and the rest.
2. Re-check if the list has waited
If you enriched more than a few days ago, or the leads came from several lemlist enrichments over weeks, run the whole file through the verify page. Each address gets a live SMTP mailbox check today. SimpleVerifier reports catch-alls as risky with a grade and the reason rather than a flat label (catch-all scoring), so you can send the higher grades first and leave the rest.
A native lemlist connector that verifies a campaign's leads and tags each one is in beta (request access); the CSV route works today.
3. Launch in two campaigns
- Main: deliverable (or valid on re-check) leads.
- Catch-all: a few hundred accept-all leads at a time, from your warmest inboxes, a day after the main campaign starts. Stop it if hard bounces pass 2%.
4. Block what bounced
Add undeliverable and bounced addresses to lemlist's unsubscribe list so a future import can't re-add them. Suppression list from lemlist and Instantly shows how to export and merge it.
Why 2%
lemlist doesn't publish a single bounce number in the article above. Mailbox providers publish complaint limits rather than bounce limits (Google's sender guidelines say keep spam rate below 0.1% and never reach 0.3%), and the cold email tools that do publish a bounce setting cluster around 2%, such as Woodpecker's Bounce Shield default. See lemlist bounce rate and bounce rate thresholds by platform.
What checking costs
lemlist's finder charges credits per lead found. Re-checking with SimpleVerifier is a flat monthly price:
- Starter, $9 a month: 2,500 checks.
- Pro, $39 a month: Unlimited email verification.*
- Business, $99 a month: the first 300,000 checks a month at full speed, 5 seats.
- Agency, $249 a month: the first 750,000 checks a month at full speed, 15 seats, client workspaces.
*Pro fair use: the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. See pricing. Check your list free: the first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in.

Common questions
How many credits does lemlist's email finder use?
lemlist's help center says the Email Finder & Verifier costs 5 credits per lead, charged 'only for deliverable or risky emails found' (pay on success).
What does Risky mean in lemlist?
lemlist says a risky email 'may result in bounce or low engagement'. Common subtypes are Accept All (catch-all), Full Mailbox and Disposable. Accept All means the server accepts every address, so the mailbox can't be confirmed.
Should I send to lemlist risky emails?
Not in the same campaign as deliverable ones. Put accept-all rows in a separate, smaller campaign, drop disposable and full-mailbox rows, and stop the risky campaign if bounces pass 2%.
Why does lemlist mark info@ addresses undeliverable?
Its help center says generic prefixes such as admin@, info@, contact@, sales@ and noreply@ are often classified as undeliverable because they bounce more often.
