Hunter vs Emailable: Which Is Better Value for Email Verification?
Emailable is the better value if you only verify: 10,000 checks are $60 as a one-time pack or $51 a month on its subscription, against $149 a month for Hunter's Growth plan. Hunter is the better fit only when you also find and email prospects inside it, since its credits cover all of that.

Picking one
- Stay on Hunter if Hunter is your prospecting and sending tool and you rarely verify leads from anywhere else.
- Choose Emailable if you want credits that sit in the account forever and you verify in bursts.
- Choose a flat plan if your volume is steady and high. A per-credit bill grows with every list.
A common split: find in Hunter, verify elsewhere. Pull the emails out of the export with the Hunter export to email list tool, then drop duplicates with remove duplicate emails before you pay for any checks.
Catch-all rows
No verifier can confirm a mailbox on a catch-all domain. SimpleVerifier returns those rows as risky, never valid, graded higher, medium or lower likelihood, so you can send the best ones in a separate, slower campaign. See catch-all email verification.
How to compare on your own data
- Pick 500 rows, including some addresses you know bounced.
- Run them through each free allowance.
- Load both results files into the verifier comparison tool to see every disagreement.
- Send only to the valid rows and count bounces.

Do Emailable credits expire?
Emailable's pricing page says credits never expire, and unused subscription credits roll over each billing cycle. Hunter's monthly credits reset and don't roll over.
What free credits do they give?
Emailable gives 250 credits to every new account. Hunter's free plan gives 50 credits a month, which is 100 verifications.
Can I use Hunter to find emails and Emailable to verify them?
Yes. Export the leads from Hunter, keep the email column, and upload it to the verifier. That splits the cost: Hunter credits go to finding only.
