Is Emailable Accurate? Its Guarantee, Its Limits, and a Fair Test

··5 min read

Emailable is accurate on the cases a verifier can settle: it runs live mailbox checks and reports deliverable, undeliverable, risky or unknown. Its guarantee is one of the more specific in the market, but it is written for opt-in lists. Rows must be marked Deliverable, emailed within 24 hours, on a list of 1,000+ addresses from your own opt-in source. If you're cleaning a cold prospecting list, the guarantee doesn't apply, and your own test matters more than any promise.

Everything below was read from Emailable's homepage, pricing page and guarantee page on 6 November 2026.

What Emailable checks

The homepage lists the checks it runs on each address: syntax, domain validation (does the domain exist and accept mail), disposable detection, free-provider detection, role detection and accept-all detection. It sorts the results into four groups:

Emailable status What it means What to do
Deliverable The server accepted the mailbox Send
Undeliverable The mailbox or domain doesn't exist Remove and suppress
Risky Accept-all, role, disposable and similar Decide per campaign
Unknown The server didn't give an answer Re-check later; not charged

On accept-all, Emailable's own wording is candid: these servers "appear to accept all emails, but can still cause bounces." That is exactly right, and it's true for every verifier. A server that accepts every address gives no way to confirm one by asking.

What the guarantee actually says

The guarantee page promises deliverability rates on addresses it classed Deliverable: "97%+ deliverability guaranteed on email addresses managed by Microsoft" and "99%+ deliverability guaranteed on all other email addresses." Paying customers get a 100% refund for qualifying emails that miss it.

The conditions are what matter:

  • Only Deliverable rows count. Risky and unknown rows are outside it.
  • Emailed within 24 hours of verification.
  • At least 1,000 unique addresses in the list.
  • Bounces must be because the address doesn't exist. Poor sender reputation is excluded, along with other "unqualified bounces".
  • The addresses must come from "your own opt-in source."
  • Claims go to support within 72 hours of the discrepancy.

The Microsoft line is a useful tell. Microsoft-hosted mailboxes (Outlook, Microsoft 365) are among the hardest to verify reliably, and Emailable prices that difficulty into a lower guaranteed threshold. That is honest. It also tells you where to look first when you test.

The opt-in condition is the important one for sales teams. Cold lists from Apollo, scraping or a data vendor don't qualify. If that's your use, judge Emailable on your own bounce numbers, not the guarantee. We compare guarantees across vendors in email verifier bounce guarantees.

The other headline

The homepage calls Emailable "the most accurate email verification platform". That's a marketing claim; the page doesn't say what test supports it. We know of no independent audit behind any vendor's accuracy claim, and SimpleVerifier publishes no accuracy percentage of its own. Testing on your own list is the only comparison that means anything.

What it costs to test

Emailable's pay-as-you-go packs on 6 November 2026:

Credits Price Per 1,000
5,000 $38 $7.60
10,000 $60 $6.00
25,000 $141 $5.64
50,000 $245 $4.90
100,000 $420 $4.20
250,000 $750 $3.00
500,000 $1,350 $2.70
1,000,000 $2,100 $2.10

New accounts get 250 free credits. Monthly plans are 15% cheaper (5,000 a month for $32.30), unused monthly credits roll over, and pack credits never expire. Unknown results and duplicates are credited back. Compare vendors in the email verification pricing index.

How to test Emailable on your own list

  1. Sample 500 random rows from the list you'll send, with the email list sampler. The 250 free credits cover half of it.
  2. Run the sample through Emailable and one other verifier.
  3. Compare row by row in the verifier comparison tool. Pay attention to Microsoft-hosted domains; the bulk email provider lookup tags them.
  4. Send to rows both tools call deliverable within 24 hours, so the guarantee window applies if your list qualifies.
  5. Count hard bounces after 72 hours with the bounce rate calculator. For cold email, stay under 2%.
  6. Send a separate batch of 50 risky (accept-all) rows if you plan to use them, and count those bounces on their own.

What to do with each status on a cold list

If the guarantee doesn't cover your list, these defaults keep bounces down:

  • Deliverable: send, in your main sequence, ideally within a day or two of the check.
  • Risky, accept-all: a separate small batch after the main send, with a stop rule at 2% hard bounces. Don't let them make up more than a small share of any one inbox's daily sends.
  • Risky, role or disposable: drop for cold outreach. Role inboxes are shared and more likely to complain.
  • Undeliverable: suppress in your sequencer, not just delete, so a later import can't bring them back.
  • Unknown: re-run the next day. They're credited back, so the second pass costs nothing.

When Emailable fits

  • You clean opt-in lists (newsletter signups, customers) and want a written deliverability guarantee.
  • You can send within 24 hours of verifying, so the guarantee window is usable.
  • You want SOC 2 Type II, which the homepage lists.

Where SimpleVerifier fits

For cold and B2B lists, the honest handling of unconfirmable rows matters more than a guarantee you can't claim. SimpleVerifier reports every catch-all as risky, never valid, and grades it higher, medium or lower likelihood with the reason (how grading works). Every other row gets a live SMTP mailbox check.

Pricing is flat for monthly cleaning:

  • Pro, $39 a month: Unlimited email verification.*
  • Starter, $9 a month: 2,500 emails a month.
  • Free: 100 checks with a Google sign-in.

*Fair use: the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off.

At Emailable's list price, 100,000 checks are $420 per run. Pro also includes phone format checks, an email finder, an API, an MCP server and integrations with Instantly, Smartlead and Mailchimp. Compare on the pricing page, or run the same 500 rows on the verify page.

Common questions

Is Emailable accurate?

On ordinary domains it is as accurate as any SMTP verifier, because it asks the receiving server whether the mailbox exists. Accept-all domains, servers that block checks and addresses that change after the check limit Emailable the same way they limit every tool.

What does Emailable's guarantee cover?

Rows classified Deliverable that hard-bounce because the address doesn't exist, on lists of at least 1,000 unique addresses from your own opt-in source, emailed within 24 hours of verification. Claims go to support within 72 hours. Read 6 November 2026.

Does Emailable's guarantee cover cold email lists?

No. The guarantee page requires the addresses to come from 'your own opt-in source', which excludes purchased, scraped and most prospecting lists.

Does Emailable charge for unknown results?

No. Its pricing FAQ says duplicates and unknown results are refunded to your credit balance once a list finishes.

How much does Emailable cost?

On 6 November 2026: 5,000 credits for $38, 10,000 for $60, 100,000 for $420 and 1,000,000 for $2,100 pay-as-you-go, with monthly plans 15% cheaper and 250 free credits for new accounts.
