Is DeBounce Legit? Prices, the Guarantee Fine Print and Data Retention (November 2026)

··3 min read

Yes, DeBounce is legit: it's a working email verifier that has been running since at least 2018, with public prices, an API and published terms, privacy and data retention policies. It's one of the cheaper verifiers, from $15 for 5,000 checks, and credits never expire. Two things to know before you buy: its policies name the controller only as "DeBounce", with no registered company or address, and refunds are only available through its guarantee rules.

Sources: DeBounce's pricing, terms of use, privacy policy, data retention policy and deliverability guarantee, read 3 November 2026. We sell a competing verifier; we make no claims about DeBounce's accuracy.

The facts at a glance

Check What we found (3 Nov 2026)
Time in business Footer: "© 2018 - 2026 DeBounce"
Operator named "Data controller: DeBounce"; no legal entity or address in the terms or privacy policy
Data location "Personal data stored in the EU" (Germany), retention policy
List retention Uploaded lists and bulk API files deleted 7 days after upload or validation; real-time API addresses not stored
Free credits 100, no card
Credit expiry "Credits never expire"
Refunds "The only way to be eligible to get a refund is to be compatible with" the guarantee rules (terms)

The 7-day deletion rule is one of the clearer retention policies in this market. Fewer days of storage means less exposure if anything goes wrong, so it's worth asking any verifier for the same figure.

What it costs

Pay-as-you-go, checked 2 November 2026:

Pack Price Per 1,000
5,000 $15 $3.00
10,000 $25 $2.50
50,000 $75 $1.50
100,000 $135 $1.35
500,000 $450 $0.90
1,000,000 $750 $0.75

The same volumes are sold monthly, from $13.80 for 5,000 a month. See the DeBounce comparison page for every size with its check date, and DeBounce vs ZeroBounce for a head-to-head.

The guarantee, read closely

DeBounce advertises a "97.5% (or better) deliverability rate guarantee". The conditions on its guarantee page:

Condition DeBounce's rule
Minimum batch At least 1,000 addresses verified with DeBounce
Send window Sent within 48 hours
Which results Only Deliverable and Safe to Send
Which bounces count Invalid, non-existent addresses only; reputation, server and similar bounces excluded
Not covered Yahoo and AOL addresses in deactivation; spam traps; purchased lists
Claim window Within 30 days
Remedy Extra credits: 3% of the list's credits for each 1% below the threshold; full refund above 8% bounces

So for most shortfalls the remedy is more credits, not cash. That's common; our bounce guarantees roundup compares the market. Use the bounce rate calculator to work out your real rate before you file a claim.

The catches

  1. No named company. If your vendor review needs a registered entity and a DPA, ask before uploading customer data.
  2. Refunds only through the guarantee. Use the 100 free credits before you buy a big pack.
  3. Per-pass billing. Every re-check of a list is billed again, so monthly re-checks of a big file add up.

Where SimpleVerifier fits

For a small one-off list, DeBounce is cheaper than us and we'd say so. If you re-check large lists every month, a flat plan can cost less: Pro is $39 a month with the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. Run a sample through both: the first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in at /verify. See pricing and the DeBounce alternatives roundup.
