Export Eventbrite Attendees to a Clean Email List (Opt-ins Kept Separate)
Pull two exports from Eventbrite: the Attendees report (everyone with a ticket) and the Purchasers subscriber list (attendees who opted in to your marketing at checkout), plus the Unsubscribed users list. Turn ticket rows into one row per person, keep opt-ins in their own segment, subtract unsubscribes, and verify before the first send from another tool.

Step 1: the Attendees report
One event: Events > select the event > Reporting > Event reports > under Attendees, choose Attendees. Pick a file type; the report appears in the Exports tab.
Several events: Reporting > Attendees > select the events > Run report. You can filter by order date, organizer profile, currency and whether to include guests. Eventbrite recommends CSV for reports over 1 million records; Excel is the other option.
The file has one row per ticket, so someone who bought three tickets, or came to three events, appears several times.
Step 2: the opt-in and unsubscribe lists
Under Marketing > Email campaigns > Subscriber list:
- Purchasers: "Attendees who opted into your marketing during checkout on your events."
- Unsubscribed users: "Recipients who received an email from you and selected 'Unsubscribe'."
Export with Download CSV under Export subscribers. These two files decide who gets what in your other tool: Purchasers can get future-event promotion; everyone else on the attendee list gets event-related mail only, unless the law where they live and what you told them at checkout says otherwise.
Step 3: one row per person
- Fold ticket rows into one row per address. The Eventbrite attendees to email list tool does this in your browser, counts tickets and events per person, labels buyer versus attendee emails and sets refunded tickets aside.
- Tag opt-ins. Match the Purchasers export against the attendee list and add a column.
- Subtract unsubscribes with compare email lists.
- Remove duplicates across events with the duplicate email remover.
Step 4: check the addresses
Ticket buyers type their own addresses, often on a phone, so typos get through, and free events attract throwaway addresses. Eventbrite's own email tool starts organizers at 250 promotional emails a day and its Trust and Safety team reviews bounce, complaint, unsubscribe and blocked-address rates; most sending tools watch the same numbers.
- Fix domain typos with the email typo corrector.
- Verify the list before the first send. Cleaning an event attendee list covers what's typical for event data.
Limits
Eventbrite's help pages don't list every column in the attendee export, and the opt-in setting depends on how your organizer profile was set up, so check your own file. Eventbrite also says attendees from events based in Australia, Canada or Germany can't be imported into its subscriber lists, so expect those attendees to be missing from that route. A verification result tells you an address can receive mail, not that the person agreed to marketing.
Where SimpleVerifier fits
Upload the cleaned file at /verify and you get valid, risky (with the reason) and invalid files, with your columns kept. The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in. Pro is $39 a month with the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off, and one-time packs of 10,000 checks for $15 never expire. See pricing.
Common questions
How do I export attendees from Eventbrite?
For one event: Events, select the event, Reporting, Event reports, then Attendees. For several: Reporting, Attendees, select the events and Run report. Choose CSV or Excel; the report appears in the Exports tab.
Who is on Eventbrite's Purchasers list?
Eventbrite describes it as "Attendees who opted into your marketing during checkout on your events." Find it under Marketing, Email campaigns, Subscriber list, and export it with Download CSV.
Can I email everyone who attended?
About the event they attended, generally yes. Promoting future events to people who didn't opt in depends on the law where they are; Eventbrite's own guidance says to follow all applicable laws in your region.
Does Eventbrite remove bounced addresses for me?
Its help pages on subscriber lists don't say. Its Trust and Safety team does review bounce and blocked-address rates on Eventbrite email campaigns, so verify the list either way.
Check your list before you send
Real mailbox checks over SMTP, and nothing is sent to the address. Sign in with Google and your first 100 email checks are free, no card. Plans for bigger lists are on the pricing page.
