Kickbox Alternatives: Published Prices From 1,000 to 100,000 Checks

··4 min read

Kickbox charges per email through credit packs, $70 for 10,000 checks and $500 for 100,000 on its published pricing, so the main reasons to look elsewhere are cost at volume and wanting a flat monthly price. For one-off lists, several verifiers publish lower pack prices; for regular verification, a flat plan removes the per-email bill altogether.

What Kickbox charges

From the Kickbox pricing page, read on 19 October 2026:

Pack Price Per 1,000
1,000 $10 $10.00
5,000 $40 $8.00
10,000 $70 $7.00
25,000 $150 $6.00
50,000 $275 $5.50
100,000 $500 $5.00
1,000,000 $2,999 $3.00

There are smaller and in-between packs too; check the page for the full ladder.

Reasons to stay with Kickbox

Be honest with yourself about switching costs:

  • You have built on the Kickbox API. Its API is well documented, and swapping vendors means code changes and re-testing.
  • Your volume is small and occasional. A few dollars a year is not worth a migration.
  • You like its result format. If your logic depends on its specific result fields, mapping them to another vendor takes care.

Our Kickbox comparison page lists what Kickbox does better.

Reasons to move

  • You verify large lists repeatedly. Per-email billing means each re-check is billed again. At 100,000 a month, per-email costs add up across a year.
  • You want to forecast costs. A flat plan is one predictable number.
  • You also check phone numbers. SimpleVerifier's plans include phone format and number type checks, with live carrier lookups as a paid extra.

Switching an API integration

If you call Kickbox from code, keep the change small:

  1. Wrap verification in one function in your codebase, if it is not already.
  2. Map result names. Each vendor names results differently. Decide how "valid", "invalid", "catch-all", "risky" and "unknown" map to your existing logic.
  3. Handle rate limits and timeouts. Our post on API rate limits covers retries and backoff.
  4. Run both in parallel for a while. Log both answers for a sample of traffic and compare before cutting over.

Email verification APIs compared goes through auth, timeouts and limits across vendors, and our API docs show the request and response format.

Switching a CSV workflow

If you upload files, the switch is simpler:

  1. Take a recent list you already ran through Kickbox.
  2. Upload a random sample of it to the new tool.
  3. Compare the results row by row, especially catch-all and unknown.
  4. Move new lists over once you are happy.

How to bench test email verifiers explains how to make that comparison fair.

A worked example: one year at 25,000 a month

Using the published prices above, for a team verifying 25,000 addresses a month:

Option Monthly Year
Kickbox, 25,000 pack each month $150 $1,800
DeBounce, 25,000 pack each month $45 $540
EmailListVerify, 25,000 pack each month $54 $648
MillionVerifier, 25,000 pack each month $59 $708

At lower volumes the gap shrinks: a team verifying 2,500 addresses a month pays $25 a month at Kickbox for the 2,500 pack. Our plans are on the pricing page. Pick the model that matches how often and how much you verify.

Mapping result categories

Every vendor uses its own labels. When moving from Kickbox, write down how its results map to your logic, then do the same for the new tool:

Your action Typical labels
Send Deliverable, valid
Hold or send cautiously Accept-all, catch-all, risky
Re-check Unknown
Remove Undeliverable, invalid

Agreeing this mapping before switching avoids surprises in automations that branch on the result.

Compare on your own data

Common questions

How much does Kickbox cost?

Kickbox's pricing page, read on 19 October 2026, listed packs from 500 emails for $5 up to 1,000,000 for $2,999, including 10,000 for $70 and 100,000 for $500.

What is a cheaper alternative to Kickbox?

On published prices in October 2026, 10,000 one-off checks cost $25 at DeBounce, $27 at EmailListVerify and $39 at MillionVerifier. SimpleVerifier's monthly plans are on its pricing page.

Is it hard to switch from the Kickbox API?

It takes some code changes: a new endpoint, a new key, and mapping the other vendor's result names to your own logic. Keep a thin wrapper around verification calls so the vendor can be swapped in one place.

Should I switch verifiers for a one-off list?

Only if the saving is worth the time. For a single small list, a few dollars' difference rarely matters. For repeated large volumes, the pricing model makes a much bigger difference.
