EmailListVerify Alternatives: When It's the Right Pick and When It Isn't

··4 min read

EmailListVerify is one of the lowest-priced email verifiers for small and mid-size lists, $27 for 10,000 one-off checks or $25 a month for 10,000 a month on its published pricing, so if that is your volume the honest advice is to stay. An alternative makes sense when you verify far larger volumes every month, want phone validation in the same tool, or need features it does not include.

What EmailListVerify charges

From the EmailListVerify pricing page, read on 20 October 2026:

Volume Pay as you go Monthly
1,000 $5 n/a
5,000 $17 $16
10,000 $27 $25
25,000 $54 $49
50,000 $98 $89
100,000 $186 $168
250,000 See page $346

When to stay

  • Small one-off lists. $5 for 1,000 and $17 for 5,000 are hard to beat.
  • Steady volume up to about 10,000 a month. The $16 and $25 tiers are hard to beat too.
  • Results you trust. If your bounces after verification are low, keep going.

Our EmailListVerify comparison page and the side-by-side SimpleVerifier vs EmailListVerify say the same: at those volumes, it is the better buy.

When an alternative fits better

Situation Why
25,000+ checks a month, including re-checks Per-credit monthly price keeps rising; a flat plan does not
You re-verify the same lists often Each re-check is billed again on credits
You also validate phone numbers One upload for both
You want an email finder or website enrichment in the same plan Bundled tools
You want a second opinion on result quality Useful on important lists

Which is cheaper depends on your volume. Put your numbers into the verification cost calculator.

Count your real volume first

Many people pick a plan based on list size, then find they verify much more:

  1. New leads added each month.
  2. Re-checks before each campaign, since B2B data decays.
  3. Samples of new lead sources you are testing.
  4. Client lists, if you work for others.

If those add up to well over 10,000 a month, compare plans on that total, not on list size.

What SimpleVerifier's plan includes

Depending on the plan (see pricing), SimpleVerifier includes email verification with CSV uploads up to 100,000 rows, the email finder, website enrichment, phone format and line-type checks, catch-all, disposable and role detection, and API access. If you only need email checks on a small list, those extras are not worth paying for.

Testing a switch

  1. Take a random 300 to 500 addresses with the email list sampler.
  2. Verify in both tools on the same day.
  3. Compare where they disagree, especially catch-all and unknown.

Bench testing email verifiers explains how to read the results.

A worked example at three volumes

Using the published monthly prices above, here is what a year looks like at three steady volumes:

Monthly checks EmailListVerify monthly SimpleVerifier
5,000 $16 ($192 a year) See pricing
10,000 $25 ($300 a year) See pricing
25,000 $49 ($588 a year) See pricing
100,000 $168 ($2,016 a year) See pricing

If your volume moves around from month to month, look at your busiest months, not your average; a flat plan absorbs spikes, while per-credit plans charge for them.

Results quality is a separate question

Two tools at similar prices can return quite different results on the same list, especially on business domains. Things worth checking in a test:

  • Catch-all share. If one tool labels far more addresses as catch-all, find out why before trusting either.
  • Unknown share. High unknowns mean more re-checking and more manual decisions.
  • Disagreements. Rows one tool calls valid and the other invalid are the most informative. If you can, send a small batch to them from a warmed inbox and see which answer held.

Whatever you pick, re-verify older contacts before each campaign. How often to re-verify suggests a cadence.
