UpLead's 95% Accuracy Guarantee: Valid Only, Accept All, and What You Pay For

··3 min read

UpLead says its emails are 95% accurate and offers credits back below that, but what you're actually charged depends on one setting: the download option. Valid Only charges credits only for valid emails. Valid and Accept All also charges for Accept All (catch-all) addresses UpLead can't confirm. All Available Emails charges for everything, invalid included. Pick Valid Only unless you need the extra volume, and verify any Accept All rows before they reach a sequence.

Sources, read 2 November 2026: UpLead's pricing page, About page and the help article Am I charged a credit for email addresses that are not verified? (updated 29 July 2025). The 95% figure is UpLead's claim; neither page says how it's measured.

The three download options

Option What you get What you're charged
Valid Only Valid emails Credits only for valid emails
Valid and Accept All Valid plus Accept All Credits for both
All Available Emails Everything, invalid marked Credits for every email, invalid included

UpLead's statuses, from the same article:

  • Valid: the server confirms the address can receive email. "Valid emails are guaranteed to be accurate at the time of download."
  • Accept All: the server accepts all emails, so full validation isn't possible. Often works, higher bounce risk.
  • Invalid: can't be verified, only downloadable under All Available Emails, and sent to UpLead's research team for review.

You can save a default in your profile so you don't pick the wrong option on a big export.

What the guarantee covers, and what it doesn't say

The About page: "Our customers enjoy a 95% data accuracy guarantee. If their numbers fall below that, they get their credits back." It also says UpLead verifies an email in real time the moment you click to get it.

What we couldn't find on those pages: how a shortfall is measured, the time window, how to claim, or whether bounces from another sending tool count. Ask before you rely on it. And note what a credit refund doesn't cover: the hit to your sending domain from the bounces. Our bounce credit refunds post compares other vendors' terms.

What the credits cost

From the pricing page: Essentials is $99 a month for 170 credits ($74 a month billed yearly for 2,040), Plus is $199 a month for 400 ($149 a month yearly for 4,800), with extra credits at $0.60 and $0.50. That's roughly $0.50 to $0.58 per contact on monthly plans. Each Accept All row you pay for under the middle option costs the same as a valid one. The cost per lead calculator works out the real cost once bad rows are taken out.

A safe workflow

  1. Set Valid Only as your default. Switch to Valid and Accept All only when the valid pool is too small.
  2. Keep Accept All rows in their own file. Don't merge them into the main list.
  3. Verify the Accept All file at /verify. A catch-all domain will come back risky, not valid; that's honest, because no SMTP check can confirm one. Our accept-all vs unknown results post explains the labels.
  4. Re-check the Valid file if it's older than a few weeks. "At the time of download" ages. See B2B contact data decay.
  5. Send Accept All in a smaller, separate batch and watch bounces. Our catch-all leads in sequences post has the setup.

Where SimpleVerifier fits

SimpleVerifier doesn't sell contacts. It checks the ones you downloaded and labels each valid, risky (with the reason, such as catch-all) or invalid. The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in on the verify page. Pro is $39 a month with the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off. One-time packs of 10,000 checks for $15 never expire (CSV only). See pricing.

Common questions

What does Accept All mean in UpLead?

UpLead's help article says Accept All means the server accepts all emails, so full validation isn't possible. These addresses often work but carry a higher bounce risk. The same thing is usually called catch-all.

Am I charged UpLead credits for invalid emails?

Only if you choose All Available Emails. UpLead's help article says Valid Only charges credits only for valid emails, Valid and Accept All charges for both, and All Available Emails charges for every email in the selection, invalid ones included.

Does UpLead's 95% guarantee cover bounces?

UpLead's About page says customers get credits back if their numbers fall below 95%. Its help article says valid emails are guaranteed accurate at the time of download. Neither page we read describes how to claim, the time window, or whether bounces in another tool count, so ask UpLead before relying on it.

Should I re-verify UpLead emails before sending?

If the export has sat for more than a few weeks, or includes Accept All rows, yes. UpLead's guarantee describes the moment of download, not the day you send.
