Verify a Kaspr Export Before You Send: Emails, Phones and Catch-Alls

··5 min read

Verify a Kaspr export the same day you send it: run every email through a live SMTP mailbox check, send only confirmed rows in your main sequence, and hold catch-all rows for a smaller test batch. Kaspr's paid plans list unlimited B2B emails under a fair use policy, which makes it easy to pull thousands of contacts from LinkedIn in an afternoon. The bigger the list, the more a few percent of dead or unconfirmable addresses costs you in sender reputation.

What Kaspr's plans give you

From Kaspr's pricing page, read on 6 November 2026 (US dollars, per user):

Plan Price shown B2B email Direct email Phone Exports
Free $0 15 a month 5 a month 5 a month Small (the page lists both 10 and 100)
Starter $49 or $65 a month Unlimited (fair use) 5 a month 100 a month 12,000 a year
Business $79 or $99 a month Unlimited (fair use) 200 a month 200 a month 30,000 a year
Enterprise Custom Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited

The two prices per plan reflect yearly versus monthly billing; the page doesn't label which is which, so confirm at checkout. The page doesn't define "B2B email" versus "direct email" credits either.

What the page doesn't say matters as much: it doesn't describe how Kaspr verifies emails, how old a record can be, or whether bounced emails get credits back. Its marketing mentions "verified phone numbers and emails". Treat that as "verified at some point", not "verified today".

Why a fresh check matters for LinkedIn-sourced leads

Kaspr's data starts from LinkedIn profiles. That's a strength for targeting and a weakness for freshness: a profile can say someone works at a company months after their mailbox there was closed. Three things go wrong on cold sends:

  1. Left the company. The mailbox is gone; you get a 550 5.1.1 user unknown hard bounce. See hard bounce vs soft bounce.
  2. Pattern guess. If an address was built from a name pattern rather than seen in use, it may never have existed.
  3. Catch-all domain. The company's server accepts mail for every address, so nothing can confirm the mailbox. The address might be real or might bounce later, after the server accepts it.

Hard bounces above about 2% on a cold campaign start to hurt the sending inbox and domain. Instantly, Smartlead and lemlist all watch bounce rates. See Instantly bounce rate and email bounce rate benchmarks.

Step by step

1. Export and keep every column

Export from Kaspr's dashboard to CSV. Keep the LinkedIn URL, name, company and both email types, so you can map results back. Don't open the file in Excel if it has phone numbers in it; Excel strips leading zeros.

2. Dedupe first

Remove duplicate emails before you verify, so you don't check the same address twice. The remove duplicate emails tool is free. If you also limit how many people you email per company, the limit contacts per company tool does that.

3. Run a live mailbox check

Upload the file to the verify page or the CSV email verifier. Each address gets:

  • Valid: the server accepted the mailbox.
  • Invalid: the mailbox or domain doesn't exist. Remove and suppress.
  • Risky: catch-all, role address (info@, sales@), disposable or full mailbox.
  • Unknown: the server didn't answer. Re-check later.

SimpleVerifier reports every catch-all as risky, never valid, and grades it higher, medium or lower likelihood with the reason (how grading works). That grade tells you which catch-alls to try first.

4. Validate the phone column too

If the export has phone numbers, the same upload checks each against its country's numbering plan, rewrites it in E.164 (+33612345678) and tags country and type. If your list includes numbers outside North America, check that they carry a + and country code; numbers without one are read as US numbers. For US numbers where you need mobile vs landline, a live carrier lookup is the extra step. See validate phone numbers for SMS.

5. Send in two batches

  • Batch A: valid rows only, into your main sequence.
  • Batch B: catch-all rows graded higher likelihood, a few hundred at most, at the end of the sequence or a day later. Stop if hard bounces in this batch pass 2%.
  • Never: invalid rows. Add them to your suppression list in the sequencer. See build a suppression list from Smartlead.

Pushing straight into a sequencer? SimpleVerifier connects to Instantly, Smartlead and lemlist, so you can verify leads where they already sit.

What it costs

At Kaspr's unlimited-email volumes, per-check verification pricing adds up quickly. SimpleVerifier is flat:

  • Pro, $39 a month: Unlimited email verification.*
  • Starter, $9 a month: 2,500 emails a month.
  • Free: 100 checks with a Google sign-in, enough to test a sample of your export.

*Fair use: the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower, never cut off.

Pro also includes phone format checks, an email finder, an API and an MCP server for AI agents. Live carrier lookups are on Pro + Phone ($49.99 a month, 5,000 a month). See pricing.

A quick sanity test before a big send

Take 200 random rows from the export with the email list sampler and verify them free. The split tells you what the full list looks like:

Sample result What it suggests
Mostly valid, few catch-alls Safe to verify the rest and send
High catch-all share (30%+) Plan a two-batch send; budget fewer confirmed leads
Many invalid (10%+) The segment is stale; re-pull or narrow the search

Common questions

Are Kaspr emails verified?

Kaspr's marketing says you can access verified phone numbers and emails from LinkedIn. Its pricing page doesn't explain how or when verification happens, so treat the export as unverified on the day you send and run your own check.

What do Kaspr's plans include?

On 6 November 2026, in US dollars: Free with 15 B2B email, 5 direct email and 5 phone credits a month; Starter at $49 or $65 per user a month depending on billing, with unlimited B2B emails, 100 phone credits a month and 12,000 exports a year; Business at $79 or $99 with 200 direct email and 200 phone credits a month and 30,000 exports a year.

Does Kaspr refund credits for bounced emails?

The pricing page doesn't say. Check Kaspr's terms or ask support before relying on it.

How should I send Kaspr catch-all emails?

As a separate, smaller batch after the confirmed rows, with a stop rule if hard bounces pass 2%. A catch-all server accepts every address, so no verifier can confirm the mailbox.
